  • Thriftlady - that is funny!

Assuming that you aren't pregnant declutterqueen (!), I sometimes feel like that about meat, particularly mince - the smell to me seems similar to damp dog, and I just can't eat it - I think the texture of mince is pretty grim too.

I rarely eat mince, and could never cook it myself because of the smell. You aren't alone!
  • HAHAHAHAHA.... No not preggers!!! no bloody chance of that!!!

glad im not alone.. smelt bacon cooking this morning almost puked!!

Sometimes the smell of certain mince cooking (not really our local stuff but sometimes stuff my mum bought down in Lanarkshire) made me gag, as do certain other food smells. It is annoying as it can put you off eating it as smell/taste so closely linked!
Why don't you just not have any for a while ?
I am wanting mince now lol thinking about it- pepperoni pizza on meal plan for tonight though!

You could have a low grade tummy upset or virus that is affecting you x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I get really sensitive to smells for a couple of days before my period is due. There's things I normally eat the rest of the time that smell disgusting when I'm premenstrual. It's just a hormonal thing, but a little less pronounced than the pregnancy/smell reaction.

Try cooking mince again in a couple of weeks?

I'm a bit like that with pork. I love roast pork but I hate the smell it makes when it starts to cook.

Yeah I was going to say pregnant too.... Other than that could be a tummy upset or something. I hate the smell of corned beef and lamb. Sometimes though you just go off things...?
