Hey Lynz sorry to hear you sounding so down..you are always the person a lot of us rely on to lift us up so I'm sending you lot of positive vibes through my keyboard :grouphug: and hoping we can help get you through this.
Great news about the flat though hopefully that'll get rid of some of the stress when its all gone through and you are settled in a new place.
Sorry to hear your health probs continue is there any way you can ask to be fitted in at short notice if there's a cancellation?? I know a lot of hospitals do this but not sure if its an option for the sort of surgery you need??
I seem to have missed all the bickering too but I am aware theres a lot going on on other boards. I think MSE is just getting so busy now and its the time of year everyone seems grumpy!! Have you been in the high street lately  What is it about the run up to xmas makes people sooo moody
Any way hope you get some good news today and wanted to let you know there are many of us on these boards who value you and your support and advice take care hun D XX0 -
hey you 2
Im not actually feeling that bad really DD&D, I just feel a little frustrated, but no way as down as I have been. Basically they said the tumour or whatever it is it too small to get at, so basically I need to wait 6 months and when its grown they will operate and get rid of it. I feel OK with it. My mums got me some private healthcare with the pru so maybe Ill be able to claim on that, but TBH im fine. I just want to get back to work now.
IM pleased with myself though, Im living on savings and a bit of the OD and Im on nil income. It looks like I can survive if I have to for 2 months. If this had happened last year I would have been goosed! everything bouncing. Now all is covered, all seems fine :A for now
Yes, flat is selling, we are meant to be exchanging next week. Finding somewhere that will take us isnt a problem seems to be loads around thats cheap but finding somewhere that will take OHs dog seems to be a bit of a problem. BUT we havent really started looking yet, so we shall see , im trying not to get too pessimistic just yet.
No i havent been on the high st DD&D :A if I dont gret quidco cashback I dont buy it !!!! LOL! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Well I'm interested, but I seem to be dragging you down of late rather than perking you up, so I've not been nagging recently for you to update, or other things.lynzpower wrote:Not good news from the hospital im afraid, Ill be operated on in 6 months when things have worsenedbut there you go.
That's good news in some ways.- They've found something
- There's a procedure to deal with it
- It's not so bad that you're under the knife instantly.
lynzpower wrote:Been rejected from a few agencies and its all a bit pants really but I have to persevere.
What about the voluntary work you were talking about? Is that still possible?lynzpower wrote:Im taking some legal advice today as to what I can do legally and the next steps- if I found a temp job tomorrow would I have to serve out a months notice? My mate told me that shes just resigned from a job due to her disability and that she has been given a lump sum of holiday money- nearly a grand! I wonder if I would? So loads of questions for acas & legal today will sort all that out then .
Also check your contract. If you're ill over a holiday "boundary" you might lose your holiday entitilement. I lost 9 days once like that.lynzpower wrote:Im not hanging round DFW much at the mo, god the atmostphere round here is REALLY aggroPeople shouting & Calling each other names? Its really depressing- maybe Im just being oversenstive, its really grim.
Yep. There's some threads that should be moved, and some people who should be "told" to calm down.lynzpower wrote:anyway I hope you guys all play nicely

OK - good news on the unison money!!!!!
Mixed news on health - good news you know what problem is, can be treated, 'they' are obviously not too worried etc, bad news there was anything to find.
Great news about flat & know you got more than expected so will be great lift for you - treat yourself to nice holiday when it comes through.
Sorry you feel there is a lot of negativity on here at the mo - there are a lot of new peeps who are getting great support as well.
Maybe we shoudl keep this thread happy & upbeat - so, to start with, just sold 1st book on Green Metropolis - and it was YOU who inspired me to go on there!!!!!!! Cost me 10p - so £2.90 less p&p profit - thanks lynz!!!!!!!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

And nice to hear from you - especially in a more positive frame of mind.lynzpower wrote:how are things with you?
OK - better I guess than they've have been for a while. Just drove past my house today - the "For Sale" board is up now. I've also found a website which shows rentals, and on a map too - so that'll help me find where I want to live.
I don't want to live near here, which is a shame because that's where I work... :rolleyes:lynzpower wrote:Just recieved a cheque from unison for 335.70- which should cover the mortgage next month - PHEW!
