can I just say thank you to everyone offering cash. YOU ARE ALL STARS :D

Im not going to take it im afriad, the old DFW "charity begins at home" How many times have I read this on these boards :rotfl:

If you do feel that you have money burning in your pocket, please feel free to donate to one of my favourite charities http://www.womens-health-concern.org/DontateToWHC.php

Which reminds me to give them another ring :)

  • Hey Lynz,

Please don't be proud - maybe we could send you stuff we've got sitting at home that's no use to us and maybe we would all really LOVE to help - and it can be budgeted for.

Please PM us your address - we are all DESPERATE to help you.

    Love

Right feeling significantly brighter now. thank you to all

Im feeling somewhat manic in the despair to delight stakes, but I guess thats the situation- really. If I dont have a emotional health problem now, I will do by the time Im sorted this lot out :o

    OK heres what Ive done
1.called student loans they are going to send me a deferrment form, seems like its no problem to defer :T
    2. Spoke to the union they are sending me a form for hardship fund, hopefully Ill get a bit out of that
    3. Spoke to my rep. He is the lead on homeworking and is confident that there must be soemthing that can be done to allow me to work from home. I stated that I have an office ( well I will do when the lodger goes) and so forth and it will broadly meet H&S. He said that accross the board homeworkers will be given thier internet connection charges too - so if I am able to work at home this could be an added saving
    4. he told me to make an app with my GP for him to write report on my health and whether im fit to work at home. Im making an app with him now -lines engaged
    5. Hopefully I can bring the meeting forward a bit so that working at home could happen sooner rather than later
    6. Spoke to the DWP apparently its DLA that I need to apply for not incapacity
    7. i might also get CTB as well still trying to get thrrough to the council to check
    8. got a form for an application for freedom pass, it might be useful not that I can really use public transport at the moment.
    9. union looking into the payroll issue they will call me back later in the afternoon
    10. I am going to turn out the copper jar and see how much is in there as there may be prescription money enough there unless OH has been raiding it for his papers :)

Nice idea, but I cant really get out to the post office at the mo

Dont worry, things will be OK. Im taking this one day at a time, and Ive just had a swift recount of my blessings and feel somewhat better.

Anyway- I have these Sun tokens here, which ones do you need?

    Dear Lynz
I'm just so impressed by the list of things you've done..incredible to find such reserves of energy.
I think you should seriously accept the offer of morphine, partly because relief from pain is wonderful, but also because if you do fill in the form for DLA it will look impressive (sorry if that sounds flippant..don't mean it to). And if you do stay in work, there's an equivalent benefit which I think is called Disability Working Allowance.
If the penny jar doesn't come up trumps, please would you consider a PM with your address to get this one prescription? It would just feel right.
Don't mean to sound bossy...but I am old enough to be your mother.
    Love and hugs
    Wendy

Lynz, my partner works for the BMA and he thinks you should be eligible for either a free prescriptions certificate, or one of those annual pre paid ones, that saves you money if you have to have more than one prescription a month. - Maybe ask at your doc or pharmacist?
