mirtos- thank you
right now I couldnt be sadder I dont think. I was going full tilt for DF at Xmas, now i might be looking at living on DLA and I just cant handle it
I might take you up on it as it goes, I do have a mate with a car who has done a bit of driving me round for me maybe this could continue a bit I dunno:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Lynz,
all kind of good things may happen. You only need one of them to make a hge difference!
Flat may sell for more than you thought
O/H may get steady work
Union may come through at work
May find mega cheap place to rent
Morphine may make everything bearable - keep job, can travel, etc.
At worst - DLA and housing benefit; you will not be homeless. You won't be living on much money - but this will not be a shock to your system. and you know how to supplement with your freebies etc for when you *have* to have a treat.
You *are*capable of getting through this. You *are* a fighter.

Hey Lynz,
Right, I think its time for us DFW nerds to club together and help you here, in any we can.
PM me your address as I can definitely help - we are all here for you honey.
I thought you only stopped work a couple of months ago - I just don't understand why you are on half pay already???? Have you not been working there long enough to be eligible for the 6 months full/6months half? Is this all your work's fault? Have you spoken to HR?
I've just read your other thread too - Maybe a DMP would take some of the pressure off but I don't know if its right for you as you are desperate to keep on top of your debts. Is there absolutely NO leeway with your folks? This seems the only way you can allow yourself any breathing space? Perhaps also the student loans co? I know that payment has come out for this month but surely you are not liable for this if you are on half pay?
Is there any chance of your OH getting a second job or a higher income?
I know that these are probably really obvious suggestions and I'm sorry and I know you are feeling rubbish. Please let me know if there is ANYTHING I can do to help?
Please PM me your address.

Dear Lynz
I became DF before this site existed, so I know what being skint is like, and I know how fab this site is. I also get DLA, and have a brother who was sacked because of ill-health, so I get all that too.
I'm absolutely with scottishspendaholic on this one....time for some help. Please PM me your address.
With much love

Lynz,
I'm afraid I don't have any advice for you but I just wanted to say 'hugs!' as I know how you are feeling as I have been there.
I am on DLA at the moment and I know what you mean about prescription costs I am on 5 different medications, costs me a small fortune.
I found it very difficult to handle when I was first diagnosed but strangely although my condition is worse now I guess I've learnt to live with it.
You will get through this. Its just one of those challenges that life likes to sideswipe you with now and again

thank you darling you are truly a treasure
Im trying to get unison to sort it out after all Ive been paying in for 6 years so hopefully they can do something. theres also a unison hardship fund someones sending me the form for that.
Im going to call student loans co in a bit and see if they can hold off payments. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
