Its a tough one. I asked my GP would my condition be classed as a disability, he suggested that it would be, as its been going on for more than 10 years, although of course I need to get it verified by someone else ( I think social services do it, in fact I should know this as this is my job to process the paper work

He reckons once the hormones are out of my system then Ill get the pain back which could be more manaeagable, as he will finally consider prescribinh morphine ( which I really dont want- sounds hideous- but then I could sell them on the black market JOKE! ) but Im not too sure using morphine would make it easier to work as a mate of mine was prescribed it after mjot surgery & she zones out all the time.

I need to speak to the union. I am fit to work its just my mobility thats rubbish, so they have said that they have to work out a way to enable me to work at home. UNtil they have proven that no opportunity exists for me to work at home or what not, then they can sack me.

The idea of going on the tube when the sweats rolling down my face just sat here in the flat barely dressed, it so scary :(

    Hi Lynz

Just caught up with your thread - sorry you are in such a horrible situation. Surely they must be able to find something you can do from home? It seems crazy for them not to have you working if the only problem is the transport. Heck - with the internet etc there are loads of things that can be done from anywhere - make sure the union pushes this one - I don't believe a LA can honestly claim they can't enable you to work from home. Really hope things take a turn upwards for you soon. Good luck.

Lynz hon, I'm so sorry you're in such a rotten situation. I haven't been keeping myself too updated recently so have only just read your thread updates. I can't offer much help other than a virtual hug (can't get the icon thingy to work on work pc), but I hope it all comes right so much.I'm based in Herne Hill (between dulwich and brixton) and have a car, so if there's any practical help I can offer in terms of mobility etc... please let me know.xxx
