We dont have a car which is the real downer of freecycling, I am avid at freecycling, but theres no chance I can get a fridge freezer on the bus and cabs refuse point blank to take even suitcases round here ( londoners you know what I mean there!!)

I think Im going to buy a new one. As it is the freezer we have if far too minature for even both of us, let alone the lodger. Ive been waiting to find a reason to get shot of it for a while as stuff like freezing stock, or half loaves or pints of milk its out. i cant even get ice in there at the mo  and Im boiling

I have nose round on the internet today, I think with a mix of quicoing & finding a good price, and when the other one is fixed sell that on ebay (most seem to be closing on there around £80) then effectively it could cost approximately £75 all in, I estimate. Its 3 days off my DFD at the end, so I reckon its a good plan

I wont bore you all with the saga of it though

    To update,
Listed 8 things on ebay this evening and doing 2 more before bed :)

Bet you are hun. Could you have a cool shower or cool bath?

I don't know what to suggest, what about a damp t-shirt or something? And a fan blowing on you?

Well, think of it as a long term investment!! I bought mine when I moved into my flat 4 years ago and still got it now and it's working fine. Cost me £20 so that's been a 5er a year!!

Use your MSE skills to track down the best buy;)

I need a fan to cool down the bedroom before I can sleep in this weather.

    Investment! Get one!

Seriously, it'll make you feelbetter - then everything else will be a bit better too.

I love the heat in the carribbean, my long term plan is to live there. I dont feel as hot there for some reason, I practically run up the mountains when Im hiking, and dance my legs down to the knees when im there with no real problems ( apart from some silly sunburn) I just dont know what it is about london, its so airless I think.

Plus this flat is west facing so it gets the sun literally all day long. Great selling point with the garden and all that, but a killer for me :(
