Had a great discussion with OH yesterday.
BAsically he has recieved the B/card, but with a smaller limit that wont take all his cahoot loan. Long story short, we have now decided that every penny we make from ebay, quidco and the like will be going towards debt repayments and not saving. I know that many say tihs is the right thing to do in any event, but i think we both wanted to save a) cos its novel b) we have so much to save up for, such as moving, the wedding, a holiday etc.
So now, what we are going to do is
a) out of the lodgers money we will save all of it, aside from paying off the sofas next month. ( 800 off my target, how long till the 5th lol which is when her rent his my account, cant come fast enough, dying to get that chunk off my sig, even though the sofas are only 0% it will feel GREAT to pay them off)
b) Every penny from our money making enterprises will go to debt repayment.
this weekend, we have plenty of stuff to do
We are job hunting for OH
We are listing & selling everything that isnt nailed down
Cleaning the flat as it is rank
Sitting down again and doing a new SOA just to ensure all is above board
taking time to sit down and work out these free betting things that SS and others are doing. Im pretty risk averse, so only doing the obvious/ easy ones
supermarket shop, OHs week, so I will let him do the menu plan, and then work out if its doable or not, I reckon it will be
try and get a resolution on this b/card issue. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Well done Lynz. Its great that youve got so much sorting out done. Do you remember when we told postingalwaysposting to put all her money towards debt repayment because she wanted to save and she's now debtfree and able to save anyway. So it probably comes quicker than you think if you use all the money to pay off debts. I tried to talk to OH this morning about money but he told me to shut up because he's got to fix his van, it almost broke down on the way home last night. We're currently having an argument about the internet. He says he doesnt want it at all at the new house because of DS's addiction but I manage all the finances on the internet; we have one account which is entirely internet based so I am very worried. He did mention dial-up but i'm not sure how that works. I think we will have to have it as my wages are paid into the internet account. And I cant imagine life without the internet anyway. Sorry to go on. I'm glad you have got so much sorted out.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Going back onto Martin's site now to apply for new 0% card as quite a few of ours run out in August. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

good plan
I agree with you Tes, there is just no way I could live without the internet ( want vs need lol) we do everything on it, our banking, searching for the best deals, selling our stuff on ebay etc,
Dial up might not be a bad plan with your DS, but at the end of the day, it may be cheaper with BB, if you are using it a lot. Altohugh there are some unlimited dial up packages ( slow though) but the intersting thing about dial up is AFAIK pretty impossible to do online gaming as pages take so long to load. Your OH may have a good point. Id ask on the internet board about it.
I did read talktalk do some unlimited dial up package at night only for about £4 a month, but I guess you dont want your son up all night as this is what you are trying to get out of. but Im sure there will be something that meets your needs.
Hows your son doing? Any movement? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hes finished all his exams now and has just been sitting on the computer pretty much all the time. He thinks he did well with his media studies and GCSE biology but thinks he has failed the rest. I am so busy at work with exams that i am ignoring him at the mo but he is going to Bluewater with his friend today so that will at least get him out of the house. DD is supposed to be coming home this weekend but have not heard from her since Thursday so expect her any time now. I have to go and do her room and do lots of washing. We want to watch the England game this afternoon. I am going to research cheap dial-up, not sure about TalkTalk because as you say it will encourage him to be up all night but he wont find it easy with Dial-up and thats why OH wants it. I have just applied for a GE credit card. Theres a fee of £50 tops but I want a BT of £7000. 0% for 12 months though. Got to go. OH wants computer. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
