The blue check has now turned red. and the ex-white is still not white at all.TL0

Did you buy from Lakeland by any chance? This happened to mine. I complained and got new ones sent and the same happened again. Got refund and they let me keep the towels.
Used to soak in Milton when DD was little and that did the trick but I find that any tea towels don't wash as they used to? Weird! To repeat what others have said, requires education, to challenge it,requires brains!FEB GC/DIESEL £200/4 WEEKS0 -

No, I got them from Dunelm. I wouldn't even attempt to try taking them back in there. The staff aren't exactly the best.TL0 -

If you've got curry stains, sunlight is good. Turmeric is used as a dye as well as a spice, and it isn't "fast" in sunlight. (You don't want to know what they use to "fix" it.) It will take a few washes and "sunbathes" though.

Well said Valli, I just chuck mine in a white wash so they get a good clean, lifes too short to worry about a few stains - not that I hang then outside for anyone to notice!

I'm not talking a few stains. These look as dirty as they went in and while I've put up with it for a while, I now can't tell when they need a wash.TL0

I`d suggest soaking in a strong solution of soda crystals prior to washing and separating whites/dark washing. I`d wash on a very hot wash - a lower wash doesnt begin to touch the stains0

The persil gel capsules and a wash at 60 degrees have always worked well for me, much more so than an other washing products I've tried. Even the greasy oven gloves come out nearly perfect without any pre-soaking or cleaning.0
