Grrrr I typed a long post and lost my connection!!!

Snaggs.....I'd think I'd be walking away from this one.....going out clubbing, drinking and being drunk at work and being a good dad to his kids....fine line between them and how often does he overstep it?

My ex could drink himself silly and still think he was in line for the best parent of the year award....he honestly thought that they idolised him, truth is I never let them see him drunk, often going out for a walk round the park at 6am whilst he sobbered up.

Alarm bells would be ringing for me and if you're unsure then don't go there.

    Sorry to be blunt :o

Pap - Glad you had a nice-ish holiday, how's your relative doing?

Have now got Windows 7 installed on my main PC. Had a little play in Staples whilst they sorted a copy of my receipt, and now I've installed it. Little quirk is, if you get the upgrade edition and opt for a clean install, it still does the install and activates it as if it was the full copy! I think thats brilliant and made me happy, as Vista is OFF my system for good!

    Hello all!
Just a quick hello...sounds like you are all planning busy weekends. I am going to make an effort to say hi and join in much more so.... my day has consisted of locating ground ginger to make gingerbread men with the littlies, making a massive sticky mess, baking it and loafing around trying to tidy up a bit.
    How exciting!!!!
Looking forward to my mum coming to stay for a few days next week so my weekend will be filled with cleaning and sorting and trying not to crack up!
Just keep passing the open windows.

    Evening all.

Had another meeting at work this morning and I've got to write to them in the next fortnight if I want to return to work and get paid from 5th January! Felt really reassured, especially after they said they'd involve occupational health and ask what they can do to support my carpal tunnel! I had the injection yesterday and today it's so bad that I've had to take paracetamol and ibuprofen!

Snaggs - I'm torn. Part of me thinks give him the benefit of one date. As you're in your home town you can easily get home if it all goes a bit Pete Tong. Then the other part says WHOA! Maybe question him a bit more about his drinking telling him your concerns and if you're still unsure then cancel the date.

Saying that, I'll have about one bottle of wine a week but that doesn't stop me telling the tale of X-SIL's 40th where I drank a bottle of vodka and had to get my brother to drive me to work for the next two days because I felt so unwell:o
