I used to have a really simple recipie to make tablet (not fudge) in the microwave. I think the ingredients were caster sugar, butter and evaporated milk. Don't know if this is complete or what quantities to use.
Can anyone help please?

make sure its a really big bowl as it will overflow the bowl when "cooking" in the microwave and you need to keep taking it out until it goes back down again.0

This one any use?
Microwave Tablet
This is a traditional Scottish sweet - VERY sweet! It can be made the traditional way but is much quicker in the microwave.
(Instructions for 600watt oven - adjust timing for a more powerful oven)
1 small can Carnation milk
1lb caster sugar
2oz butter
Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well
Cook on high for 12 mins - stir at 4mins and 8mins.
Remove from oven and add few drops vanilla extract
Beat hard with a wooden spoon.
Pour into a greased tray, mark into squares and cut when cold.Fat and proud lol0 -
ONG I had totally forgotten about Tablet!! My Grandmother (VERY scottish!)used to make this all the time when we were little and my Mum used to go mad because it always stuck all over the cooker and pan and it was really bad for our teeth!! I don't know if I dare make it, because I will only scoff it all, but the microwave receipe sounds fab! I also remember that my grandma used to make other scottish stuff: piece and jam (fried jam butty), clouttie dumplings, neeps and tatties ( these were lovely and I have never tasted this dish like Nanny used to make since she died), apple dumplings and these little fat pancakes which she made on a big iron griddle thingie with a half moon handle which took up the whole of the cooker. She also loved deep fried pork pies and fish scones (fish and potato slices in batter) which I hated!! She was a broad as she was long but she still lived until she was 89.Jane

Thanks to the OP, I haven't had tablet since I was at school and friend's scottish mum used to make it for us - guess what the children will be munching after dinner? If I haven't eaten it all first!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000

Evaporated milk?????
use condensed milkEven more teeth rotting sugeriness  and much nicer. You also get more of that crumbly, melt in your mouth texture. Tablet should look like crumbly fudge, not toffee (IMHO)
