Banks legally have to treat people fairly and to repossess they need to go throguh a judge.... make sure you put all this in writing to the bank and have a paper trail.

Do you have another bank account you can divert benefits to?

Another bank account is on its way (postal strikes willing). My benefits are being paid into a savings account with another bank in the meantime.

I hope that as long as I keep making my mortgage payments they can't take my home - until the bank froze my account I had my budget under control and even had some monies allocated to start repaying the £10K if they came looking (not a lot but nearly £200).

Now - nada!!! and worse I now am in debt to others because my bills money have been swallowed.

Please, pleae, please. Anyone who is working on the "good-will" of your bank. Please set up a parachute account and get you money paid in elsewhere. Just remember they left me last week with 71p and three nappies - you never want to put your children in that position.

Chins up today!!! Got CCCS meeting in a couple of hours. At least then we will have a "real" idea of how bad this could get - so I'll report back and we can make a start on "Operation get backto Work!!!!!!!!"" Cue big music :rotfl:

Memory girl, have you considered approaching a local church or know someone who goes to one, when we were struggling we were given gifts to pay the rent once and another time £50 tesco vouchers for food, they have pastoral funds available for this type of thing.
Im up early today and battling with staying up and achiveing something or going back to bed as the kids are still asleep!! the battle of the mind!!!!
Ill be thinking of you today, hope all goes well!!!

    Love and hugs!!!

I hadn't thought about a church - although my cupboards are full of staples because my girlies clubbed together all our Mr T vouchers.

Please be gentle TMVen - little baby steps are the way. Doing one job - then maybe a wander in the daylight. My Grandad used to say "when Mamas happy - everyones happy".

Now I used to take this as subtle conditionning not to do anything to upset Mum  but now I am beginning to realise that unless I can have my act together how can I do the same for my family.

Today I'm painting my kitchen. - and its gonna be bubble-gum pink:rotfl:

Tomorrow I am going to "shop from my wardrobe" and find something colourful to wear (instead of ratty jeans and fleece). I may even feel strong enough to slap on some blusher.

Lets all take a step together today "onwards and upwards"

MG - have just read you thread and you've helped me put my life in some kind of perspective. I think you have an amazing spirit to cope with everything at the moment. I've been where you are and whilst things aren't great at the moment, I know you can get out of the hole...I did and whilst I've slipped back a bit...I've never hit the bottom again.

I sympathise with your dealings with Fife Council and the Clydesdale....they ain't the easiest organisations in the world to deal with...they certainly didn;t help me much! (I'm a fifer but no longer live there).

Keep that great spirit of yours going...it's refreshing and infectious!! :T

  • Hey MG I have a pink kitchen that me and a mate decorated, I like to think it resembles an ice cream parlour. Hope it cheers you up. Thinking of you and your little ones and hope that the next few days are a little easier. Good luck with CCCS

I think to be safe it would be a good idea. especially if you have any benefits paid into the bank. Open a new account and pay money back into your old one to cover what you need to.
