Asda dropping petrol prices to 76.9p

We have an Asda and, sure enough, they've dropped the price. But it's the other side of town to me, so I checked round nearer to where I am situated and NONE of the others, Shell, Tesco or Sainsburys have dropped their prices at all >:(
Seems it's not a national thing then0 -
Shell garage in Leamington Spa 75.9 today. What's going on?0

I agree it's just not fair. I have emailed MP. "we want cheaper diesel too" ???0

First post on Forum so BE GENTLE PLEASE ! ! !
I agree with other Money savers. always petrol thats cut never diesel. Also I drive a so called performance car and have yet to find any Supemarket petrol station that sells SUPER UNLEADED.
Anyone know the reason why ????
Thanks:) :)
I can only use SUL in my car <---- and have found Sainsburys often sell SUL and are often slow at changing the price (sometimes it gets within 1p of UL)
The thing that wound me up was seeing LRP (which is SUL with additives for less than SUL!)...0 -
The best solution to the rip-off UK fuel prices is to bail out to a country that doesn't rip of its inhabitants. I know plenty who have decided that the UK has long gone down the pan and left and that is my intention.0

TMH said:I agree as a diesel driver we should not miss out on this reduction! don't think it is worth getting in touch with the MP though, they are all a waste of time. Will email Tesco, Asda etc as they need to realise that they are losing out, there are loads of diesel users out there.
I have FAXED my MP on many occasions and have had results.
M
emailing him was unsatisfactory, often with no replies.
Now I get results in 2 to 3 days. If enough of you bombard your MP with the disatisfaction your displaying here, then they will begin to sit up and take notice.
FAX YOUR MP!! http://www.faxyourmp.com/index.php30 -
Why only petrol reduced ?
Perhaps it is because diesel is outselling petrol, and that is the reason for the price reduction, due to the large surplus stock of petrol. I am sure that is the reason.
Diesel cars are now outselling petrol mainly due to tax incentives.
I would love to see diesel reduced, as I do 20,000 miles per year >:(0 -
Just passed my local shell garage and notice they've dropped unleaded down to 76.9p (Horsforth, Leeds).
;D
No sign of diesel being reduced though.0 -
What happened to those fuel protests of a couple of years ago ........ That seemed to work re dropping prices @ the pumps ..... Now, there's a thought ?!!!No reliance should be placed on the above.0

Morrisons is 76.9p for unleaded but that doesn't help me. My hubby paid 88.9p at the weekend in a Motorway service station and filled the tank up!
I've still got half a tank left before I get the cheap stuff.
