  • I made socks into crackers with cellophane. There is a photo here (if this works):

The ones with the race flags are Cars socks. I've made a badge to add to the thomas socks, but not taken a new photo yet.
    Hope this helps

    Hi Carlymummy

    Thanks!

I love making them too and I'm hoping to sell some at an upcoming Xmas fair, as I was thinking that if I don't make the most of it before Xmas, then I probably wouldn't get many orders after Xmas?

I was using the Asda towels too before now, but my OH has some contacts in the business and can get cartons of towels in bulk! They're Turkish cotton and 500gsm, so nice and fluffy like the ones you get in hotels. I was thinking that if any ladies on here wanted to use thicker towels, perhaps for a special wedding cake, or for a special occasion, or for some of their more expensive cakes, then we could have shared a bulk order.

Where are you sourcing all your ingredients from for your pamper cakes, and what you putting into them?

    Sal

I don't seem to have the time to do a fair at the moment :(
    Rushed off my feet!
I would be interested in doing a bulk order you would just have to let me know the price of towels and then obviously arranging postage etc.
The towels from Asda aren't bad though.
I have just been using B&M toiletries or poundland at the moment and people seem more than happy with them :) If you have a quick look on my website you will be able to see the pamper cakes. I have done a few different 'designs' and then people ask for different coloured towels, ribbon etc its working out ok though. I managed to buy a few sets of natural spa sets with a bathrobe too for £6 from b&m put this with a nice bath towel and it makes a lovely cake! Also a set for £3.99 with natural spa goodies and a pair of slippers - again put with a bath towel makes a lovely set and they have all sold already :D
I am in the middle of making a towel cake for my cousins wedding at the end of the month - when I get chance I will upload a pic because it needs something else and I don't know what so could do with some suggestions ;)

I've actually seen those sets from BMs but wouldn't know how to fold a bathrobe inside a cake??
