  • Hi Sally. I've been on holiday and then I had a few orders of my sock monkeys to get finished as they had to get in the post to Australia. But I do check online every couple of days to see everybodies creations. Love your xmassy ones.
I live around the corner from a large garden centre and they 've got all the xmas stock in and they have some super stuff. I ve bought quite a few things for my wedding cakes, like a small hat thats covered in material and trimmed off with feathers. great for the top .

Ooooh Chatty - that little hat does sound lovely!

I did a 40th birthday cake for a lady, a couple of weeks ago, and she now wants me to do quite a large number for all her family and friends for Xmas, hence the Xmassy ones!

She says it's a great idea as it's going to save her going Xmas shopping! lol

They are all lovely:). Is there instructions on here somewhere on these? I quite like the single layer cakes.

    Hi Happy

I think some of us first started by watching the tutorials on You Tube, just do a search for the tutorials and they should appear for you.

Here's my first attempt at a towel cake that I made for my brother in laws wedding. I was really pleased with the results. Forgot to take pics unwrapped! Got an order for one too from someone who saw it at the wedding!

    Hi Europa

    That's gorgeous, well done!

In case anyone missed it, I've managed to source a supplier of towels at a very reasonable price - and the quality is gorgeous, like the fluffy ones you get in hotels! See my last thread for other details, or PM me.
