    Hi Everyone

My daughter asked me at the weekend if she could make a towel cake for her friend's birthday. I said of course she could and left her to do her own thing. Here it is, I think it looks better than my ones! lol She put lots of make-up items in for the ingredients.

Just a quick question for you lovely people on here. Was thinking of making my mum a towel cake. Was wondering where you get your towels from? As some are better than others

    Hi Snookles

My OH gets mine for me and gets them in bulk. They're top quality Turkish cotton towels and are nice and thick and fluffy.

I know some people like the towel bales from M & S, but I've never used them so not sure what they're like when they're washed etc, although I guess they should be ok from there.

I've read that some get theirs in Primark etc too, but I've no idea what they're like quality wise.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Ladsmadd

I used the tutorials on You Tube when I first started.

I found at first that I rolled mine too tight too and they didn't look the same, but it's just practice rolling them. Depending on how many times you fold the towel, can make a difference to the finished cake. Also it depends on how big the towels are.

I've seen some bath towels bigger than others, depending on the make.

I've used bath sheets in the past and find these a better size, but they're obviously more pricey.
