I was given a list for a fluffy towel, some tea light oils, some soapy things, bottle of something, some nice simple dangly clip on earings, some choc body paint, a couple of lipsticks (decent ones obviously xx), a lacy garter and some high gloss white stockings, and i have come up with this, what do you think?
need to add the body paint as not done that yet but its got in it, hot pink bath towel, kelly brook bath glittery bath stuff, nail varnishes, lipsticks revelon, manicure set, earings, garter, stockings, bottle of cava, cream hand towel, white flannel, a silver chain with inital one it, scented tealights,
Picture a bit naff as taken on its side but can see the gist of it. is it ok?

First ever towel cake. very pleased with it, as was OH as he had fun helping lol. On to the next one which is my brothers 40th, so looking for some decent personalised ribbon if anyone knows where to get some that would be great!0

these are a great idea I have done nappy cakes but not birthday ones. Will make some for my local disabled club coffee morning as they are always trying to raise funds0

Hi Everyone
My daughter asked me at the weekend if she could make a towel cake for her friend's birthday. I said of course she could and left her to do her own thing. Here it is, I think it looks better than my ones! lol She put lots of make-up items in for the ingredients.0 -

Just a quick question for you lovely people on here. Was thinking of making my mum a towel cake. Was wondering where you get your towels from? As some are better than others

Hi Snookles
My OH gets mine for me and gets them in bulk. They're top quality Turkish cotton towels and are nice and thick and fluffy.
I know some people like the towel bales from M & S, but I've never used them so not sure what they're like when they're washed etc, although I guess they should be ok from there.
I've read that some get theirs in Primark etc too, but I've no idea what they're like quality wise.
Hope this helps.

Hi Ladsmadd
I used the tutorials on You Tube when I first started.
I found at first that I rolled mine too tight too and they didn't look the same, but it's just practice rolling them. Depending on how many times you fold the towel, can make a difference to the finished cake. Also it depends on how big the towels are.
I've seen some bath towels bigger than others, depending on the make.
I've used bath sheets in the past and find these a better size, but they're obviously more pricey.
