There is sugar in the Feline Fayre he has at the moment, but it is at least 60 to 70% fish and a price I can afford. There isn't any sugar added to the Bozita I have been recommended tho. I am using free samples of dry at the moment (my favourite price) but have Orijen waiting in the wings, which sadly isn't any cheaper per portion than the wet!
Chicken wings are not going to be convenient for mornings that I work as I can't have raw meat dragged all over the flat! So probably end up doing a mix of raw, dry and cooked wet. But I figure that will still be healthier and more enjoyable than the Felix/ JWB combo he arrived on. I can't deprive him of raw now I know it is healthy AND he adores it!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I got Lily some wet pouches of Purely today, from the ingredients its at least 60% meat and with no maize or corn used to bulk it up, it was actually quite cheap as well. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of it?trying to become a moneysaving student0

I am tempted to look up the Feline Fayre suggestion.... But I'm thinking if it's not broke then don't fix it!! And no, working days and chicken wings do not go hand in hand! It's a weekend treat and served either outside or on laminate easy wipe flooring!!0

What about boiling fowls (I noticed that they are skinny hens hung upside down at butchers as I have no intention of skinning chicken wings) - am considering buying some (nice butchers will chop them up as small/large sections as you require)?0

Skinning the wings was a PITA and isn't essential!
It's just wings are the fattiest part (Noah is plump) and I bought cheap battery meat. I also thought he'd be more likely to go for it without the skin, and he did start by licking the meat. If you can get a whole bird for a fair price fantastic, the cat will get the benefit of different sized bones and the different textures of meat. Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
When we feed our dogs wings - thats it - no dry food - just the raw meaty bones for that day
Now Im no expert and have only taken advice from other barfers, but the consensus has always been they digest raw and kibble at different speeds so mixing the two can cause the runs or vomiting.
We go very easy on the offal but feed a lot of different carcasses, fish trimmings, lamb ribs, whole eggs, any meat trimmings
And its fed in the garden - else the parents silk rug gets it:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I don't freee them all first. If I've just got them they get one each before going into the freezer. What they do need to be, IMO, is not hanging around raw for a while.0 -
