You don't have to buy it if you have already bought your 6 you committed to.
 Just cancel the order online.

I am so relieved to find this forum where people are suffering the effects of getting involved with Music and Film, like I am. It's just good to know you're not alone. I had the misfortune to get conned by the e-mail Channel.com sent back in December 2005 offering 2 DVDs for £10 (they subsequently changed to Music and Film). That has got to be the stupidest thing I ever did. I have actually bought 6 titles so that I can ditch them, but they now won't respond to my e-mails asking to close the account and I wrote them a letter to which I have had no reply. I have today had the 'obligatory' DVD sent to me that I didn't order, which I sent back. After reading people's comments, I guess I'm now waiting for a letter from their debt collection agency. I just want to close the account but they just don't respond. What can I do to get these people off my back?0

Last year, I rang to cancel my old Britannia account, explaining that I hated receiving items I had not ordered.
"In that case, what you need is our new musicandfilm arrangement" I was told, "and we will even send you 2 free DVDs".
This was over the phone, so I have signed nothing. Subsequently, when I rang to complain that they were still sending me the unrequested items, I was told "the terms and conditions would have been sent with your free DVDs".
I have certainly been conned - and yes, they say it will cost me £25 to cancel!0

            Hi there,
I've had problems with britannia/bclub for the last year as i cancelled in May06 but they've still been sending me recommended recordings and cruddy mags with bumped up prices grrr.
I emailed 7 times in the last 8 weeks and rang 3 times with no reply/answer.
Today i decided to hunt them down so i rang 2 diff number i found on saynoto0870.com and was given a new number to ring..rang that and was given yet another number....
I rang it and it was an answer machine so i left a message with my mobile number and a lady has just rang me back, cancelled my account whilst i was on the phone and has cleared any outstanding balance because of the trouble
The ladies name is Bridget Schofield (spelling)
And the number is 01829 783209
if its the answerphone leave a message and she should get back to you pretty quickly. She was really ncie on the phone (thats a 1st for britannia!)
She said they recently changed management and are trying to sort out problems left behind by the previous lot.
Anyway hope this helps other people who have had enough of cruddy britannia Recently moved to South Wales Recently moved to South Wales

            Steph's right.
I rang up the number you gave, and left a message on Bridget's answer phone.
She did ring up 3-4 hours later and was very pleasant to talk to. BClub and Music and Film are actually still separate but in the transition of merging together, so they are busy sorting out the post management issues that have caused so many problems.
Anyway, I cancelled my contract with Music & Film, paid my outstanding debt for a DVD I received (which I so happen to actually want), and asked her to send a confirmation by email of my cancellation. She did explain that Music & Film's agreement was to send a DVD every 3 months, which would have to be done for at least 6 titles at Full as explained in their terms and conditions.
Without any problems or hesitation she canceled my membership and settled the account in less than 3 minutes.
I'm still waiting for the email, and if I don't get it by the end of this week will ring her up to remind her.
 Cheers,
 Sachin0

A bit thank you to Steph25 as it looks like I'm finally free of Music and Film thanks to you! I telephoned Bridget Schofield today, left a message for her to contact me and she did a few hours later. She told me that my account was actually closed (but obviously Music and Film hadn't bothered to tell me). I did get another flipping brochure from them today, but Bridget said I may receive one or two until it filters through that my account is closed. I guess I just have to take her word for it. But you're right, she was a nice lady and I would urge anybody trying to get shot of these awful people to give her a ring.0

 I'm really glad some people are actually getting somewhere with these bumholes now
Bridget Schofield was nice and I checked my account online and the balance is nil and nothing outstanding so she has done what she said she would. :T
Valey I got one of them cra99y brochures yesterday but its now in the recycling bag
Hopefully everyone can get their problems with them sorted and Bclub/britannia leave people alone

It looks like the problems at Britannia/musicandfilm are going from bad to worse.
The site has been down 'due to technical problems' and is due back in September 2007 !
UGD, the owners of Britannia/musicandfilm, were sold in October last year for £1.5m to Medal Entertainment Media Plc. Their press release states that in the year to December05, UGD lost £10.9m on sales of £25.7m - Wow that's going some!
In March this year MEM issued a profits warning blaming 'sales below internal forecasts at UGD', and their shares have taken a dive since the time the website went down.
