Are Acer going bust?

Is this the same with mail order catalogues? USually they say their products will be delivered direct from the manufacturer and it is their responsibliity if it breaks down, but since the catalogues take a profit i think it might be up to them too.
If you buy it from a catalogue, online, over the phone or in a shop, your contract under the SoGA is with the seller.
Only if you purchase directly from the manufacturer will your contract be with them.
The warranty/guarantee will usually be with the manufacturer, but you can still go via the seller.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

Local customer services people had been helpful but restricted by their system, thus solicitor instructed to recoup costs lost to shoddy product/carrier/service and hopefully get a public admission that this case's on/off switch is substandard and the product should be removed from sale. I'm looking for other people who have this fault in an Acer desk top machine. Have found a couple on Comet's own website. The entire saga is lengthy and I can't publish it while solicitor is chewing it over.
Have you been in contact with Comet's customer service centre? Or just the store.
Secondly, the plural of 'anecdote' is not 'evidence'. A list of people from the internet who have had similar problems is not really proof of much.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
