Afternoon all,
Happy birthday PenPen:bdaycake:hope that you have a good one.
NPM...glad to hear that Noah is improving.
My 3 sons all had motor bikes in their youth and one of them raced...they all came off at different times and DS3 at 19 spent 6 months in a wheel chair following an accident so I hate the things but each to his own.
Having roast lamb, turnip, carrots onions and roast potatoes for dinner, followed by baked apples stuffed with mincemeat and covered in custard.
I had to go for an x ray this morning on my right knee and hip and lower back....doc suspects that I have arthritis....I could have told him that without an x ray but went anyway. To-morrow I have a mammogram which I hate, I get all worked up and weepy beforehand....it only takes a few minutes but for some reason has this affect on me. This is my last 'free' one as they stop at 64.
Lashing rain when I was out this morning, it has stopped now but just for a while I think.
Hugs to all in need or want, special hugs to Jayne and George, welcome to newbies

I've only ridden pillion once and it did seem fun and not at all scarey. Must be quite cold at this time of year though, I remember it was breezy then and that was around june.
Took three people to get me on and off the thing, but it was great fun - picked me up at our house, rode around the local villages for an hour, and finished at the pub, where Mr LW drove to meet me.
Glad you're OK NordictatIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all properly now
Happy Birthday Pen pen:bdaycake:
Had a job explaining what was funny in the accounts I [STRIKE]should have been[/STRIKE] was doing! Glad I stopped reading on coz when I was reading about noisy neighbours I started laughing again. Luckily I was at home then.
Hm carrot and coriander soup for lunch with HM roll. Tea is salmon, pots and various veg. DD1 coming for tea tonight too so it will be nice to see her, she only lives 5 minutes away but is a bit of a workaholic so difficult to tie her down, but seems to be trying to come for tea once a week at the mo whilst her OH works evenings/nights.
Other DD lives at home so it will be lovely being the four of us this evening.
Have a nice evening all

....I am also going to start decluttering, might do a room a week, so that when we come to move, we are not taking junk......
Are you going to pack up as you go along?....I've just watched Coal House at War on the iplayer over an early lunch of HM soup and found it very interesting - we really do have it easy nowadays! The children seem to be having a great time except for the food!
I saw that for the first time last night - does anyone know where it is set? It looks like a Beamish-type place....?
Not much OS-ing going on......this week Floss will be mainly putting people into the recovery position  and then pootling off to Wales for the last time.
Got some good news today, that OH has got the job he was afterso he'll be home again soon to get under my feet

Afternoon all
Glad Noah is on the mend, sorry the NHS are being so unhelpful. I took most of today off DD & her family have swine flu, & DGD is last one standing & the rest are too sick to look after her, so I stepped in.
Happy B'day PP.
Bargain Bird, that was probably me you were living next door to, lol.
Lowesy, I suppose if he was a regular he might take the rubbish out for her.
HJ & Aussie, please be careful what you say you might corrupt me, lol.
Have a good evening one & all.
Hugs Hester

Have not started packing yet, need to get some boxes from work, and will give it another 2 weeks i think before I start just in case, although I have de junked the garden, got rid of loads of old plastic pots and bits that I dont want to take with us, and we did the loft at the weekend, so slowly getting sorted.
Congrats to your OH fantastic news :T0 -
Hello everyone :hello:
Back home now. The study day was ok and they provided a very nice lunch of jacket potato with a choice of fillings, with chocolate cheesecake to follow - I like study days.
Usual round of chores this evening, Dinner will be chicken but not casserole as I thought because I wasn't organised enough to get things ready yesterday.
Not much OS-iness to report except I admitted to OH that our handwash was actually bubble bath . After a brief exchange of views he soon came round to accepting it when I told how much it saved. He hadn't noticed anything different in four months anyway :rotfl:.
Pen-pen - happy birthday!
NPM - glad to hear Noah is improving
Nordictat2 - glad you're ok. I'm much too chicken to ever get on a motorbike!
Bitsy - hope your cold clears up soon.
Have a good evening all

Cooked a chicken for tea tonight and going round to a neighbours for a game of cards tonight.

Cranky - please try to find something you like to eat, even if only cake! You need to keep your strength up - good luck on the cat proofing your home.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
I did at one point wonder if she was a working girl as they're always coming (if you'll pardon the pun) and going throughout the night, but I've seen the same chap leaving regularly with a bin bag - I'm not sure but I doubt you'd ask a punter to take your rubbish out for you surely
xx
Our ex neighbour (who has thankfully moved on) used to have the same two chaps visit her at home. He'd always get out this big black holdall and she'd answer the door in some rather skimpy clothing. We never heard a thing but they never ever left the house together or went on a date. It was all very odd. Was highly intrigued to find out what was in that bag
Foss well done to your OH for getting the job he wanted :T
kjsam - mmmmmmm chocolate cheesecake.....I could just go for some of that now
DS came back from nursery - he'd been bitten
OK kids (including my DS) shove and get carried away) but this is the first time he's been on the receiving end of something like this. Apparantly the lad in question had a good talking too so I hope this doesn't occur again....I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
