afternoon!
Aussie and Haribo :rotfl::D :T you naughty pair!:D
I've just watched Coal House at War on the iplayer over an early lunch of HM soup and found it very interesting - we really do have it easy nowadays! The children seem to be having a great time except for the food!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Afternoon all.
Happy Birthday Penny Penguin.
Still very bunged up and coldy - didn't make it to the CAMRA meeting last night, as I didn't think I'd take in anything that was being said, and I'd just breathe my lurgy over everyone. Mr LW didn't go either, as he said he didn't want to go without me (awwww, sweet).
I did manage to make the risotto though, which went down very well.
Bangers'n'mash, and use up a few left over beans for dins tonight.
I've just potted up 3 big jars of HM mincemeat; it's slightly different from what I've done previously, as I had some dried apricots wanting using up, so chopped them up and included them in the mix. Hopefully it'll be OK. *crosses fingers*.
I'm concentrating on getting rid of as much of this cold as possible by tomorrow afternoon, as that's when Molly Dog will be arriving for an 11-day stay.
Hoping life is improving for all who have been less than happy lately, whether because of illness, worry or adverse circumstances; ((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

:rotfl:Mummysaver their washing machine I could cope with but hearing her screaming (and I mean screaming) obscenities (which I won't repeat but it stats with an F and rhymes with pluck) at the top of her voice is not good! If DH and I weren't moving out next week I would get the council round, but am thinking some sort of message is in order for them on the day we leave!!!
I did at one point wonder if she was a working girl as they're always coming (if you'll pardon the pun) and going throughout the night, but I've seen the same chap leaving regularly with a bin bag - I'm not sure but I doubt you'd ask a punter to take your rubbish out for you surely

Came back on to catch up with the thread and been screaming with laughter, what with Haribo and Aussie and then the noisy neighbour antics!
beemuzed - I spend a shocking amount of time online, and when I have had problems with my internet before and not been able to log on I get so much more done - my house would be spotless if it wasn't for the internet!!
Had a successful shopping trip, including the bargainous Hills Science Plan Dried Cat Food, which is the extortionate price of £12.90 usually (so have never ever bought before!), and is currently bogof in Pets at Home, plus there is a £5 voucher on the Hills website, so it was £7.90 for 2 bags. That will do foster cat nicely!
Also picked up 2 clip lock plastic boxes from House of Fraser that cost 12p, as I used the free £5 household coupon I collected a couple of weeks ago.
Food shopping was done at Waitrose, and used a number of coupons so was less than half price, so all in all a good day!0 -
Just a quick nip in today
Penelope Penguin have a Happy birthday
Nordictat2 glad you are okay after dropping the bike, hubby has done that a couple of times with just bruises .
I've only ridden pillion once and it did seem fun and not at all scarey. Must be quite cold at this time of year though, I remember it was breezy then and that was around june.
Today is still no heating day as we try to stretch round to November before turning it on.
No spend day too as I havent gone anywhere to spend any.
Dinner today is just Pizza that I made on Sunday incase we manage to get out and run tonight, (will save cooking aswell as running as you really dont feel like cooking afterwards). Dont know if we will though ,as hubby had a bit of a headache yesterday and fell asleep in front of the TV.
I am writing out some recipes for my 2 to use in their student flats. DS has a flat to himself and will probably have a go at quite ambitious things but DD is sharing a kitchen and will most likely have to build up her confidence as she hates to make mistakes but loves a challenge and the accomplishment of managing to produce a culinary masterpiece LOL.
Hugs to everyone wether you need them or not :P
