)
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men :cool:

Glad it's not just me. I really should be doing something work-like, but the report I'm trying to write is so tedious....
Those potato farls look lovely - I think I've just found a use for the potatoes sitting in my cupboard at home!Back after a very long break!0 -
Thanks Rikki - Pinks photoslides are brill! Always make me hungry
CCP - do it, i defy you to get some in the freezer, it's so flipping difficult not to eat it all! Freezes well and toasts up well too. You do need a lot of flour though (i remember pming Pink to ask what a stiff dough was:o

I absolutely love cheesy mash, put a hole in the middle and fill it with heinz spaghetti hoops using lots of the sauce. My husband thinks I am crazy but I love it soooooooo much.
Any day is a mash potato day but we do *tend* to have it with chicken, pie or sausages with gravy. YUM.
ETA: My husband hates mashed potato, for what it is worth I think he is crazy too!! How can anyone not like mashed potato??
OMG :eek: how do you cope with a husband who hates mash?!
We really like mash with toad in the hole, carrots, peas and gravy.....mmmmm!

I do zippy, I just can't leave mash alone long enough for it to be leftover.0 -
a pile of well-seasoned mash with a big lump of salted butter hidden in the middle, then just eat your way towards the melted, gooey goodness0
-
mash piled high and topped with fried eggs and baked beans
or, with grated cheese & cooked bacon mixed in and served with a nice crunchy salad - a bit like cheesy jacket potato but without the skin0
