I don't like shopping there too often ... but Cash Convertors are offering elites for (if i remember correctly!) £120. The one that i saw in the display cabinet had a manufacture date of 2009, so can't be that old. Must do a little search on the web to remind myself what the current microsoft warranty is on 360s.0

Ordered from Amazon.
Went for Elite+EntertainmentPack+Halo3. Thanks to OP.0 -
There is a "deal of the week" in the high street (can never remember if the shop is called game, play, gamestation, playstation or whatever!) for an xbox 360 with 20gb for £100. Comes with a full year's warranty and a wireless controller. I checked and they said that it had an hdmi slot which i believe is sufficient to suggest its not one of the earliest 360s so i think i might go for that one... anyone got a better deal for me?0

There have been deals in the last week from both Blockbuster and Zavvi where you can get this exact WEP for under 20 quid (not to mention the people that got it with the Amazon glitch last week). I would expect that will drive down resale prices on eBay. Just something to think about if you are buying this only because you expect to sell the WEPs for a lot to make a certain amount of money back.0

I'm pondering between getting a PS3 or XBox 360... can anyone say if one is better?
Any difference in game prices?
To second what ell said, the big dif is that with xbox you get online gaming, with PS3 you get bluray. There are also a few games that are only available for one console or the other. Also, with the PS3 you can play any games - region free. With the xbox, some games are region free, some aren't (only matters if you shop for games in other regions or plan to take this with you to another country).
We were going to get PS3 as it seems more versatile due to the region-free and bluray aspects (plus we don't care about online gaming), but the Amazon glitch on xbox last week for 129 was too good to pass up.0 -

I have both (and a wii) and the PS3 only gets used for Blurays. We all use the XBOX for gaming as I like the controller and like playing online with friends.
IMHO the 360 is MUCH better.
I have no interest in any fanboy comments, as said I own all three and am just giving my opinion.0 -
I've just picked up an Xbox 360 Elite (black) 120 gb hard drive, wireless controller with Pure, Lego Batman, Forza 3 and Fifa 10 for £199 from Sainsburys at Arnold, Nottingham. There was nothing advertising this instore - they are keeping them in the backshop so you have to ask and they had 3 left.
The manufacture date is 15.08.09. and it is a 12V DC, 12.1A which I think might mean it has the Jasper chipset that I was hoping for.0 -
