I will probably end up going for an arcade at £126 from currys.

Only need a new one because my old ones broke beyond repair, and the elite was the same price with the old glitch!

Pure ( one of the games with the wireless pack) was on play yesterday for £7.99 I defo wouldn't be paying £35 on ebay for it !

Both very similar consoles, although xboxes appear to be a little cheaper.

Do you like online gaming? and do you like "shoot em ups" call of duty style games?

If yes then I would get the xbox, as it has much better online gaming and I prefer the controllers for shooting games. (Although note its £35 a year for online membership)

Also look at the exclusives,both have a balenced amount of good games (Halo, Gears of war against Resistance fall of man etc)

My husband has the PS3 and loves it. He plays mostly war games and racing games on it. Also you can play Blu-Ray dvds on it too which you cant on the XBox 360.

We are getting a XBox 360 for my son for Christmas as he wants to play online and with his friends online and they all have XBox 360's. The consoles are cheaper than the ps3.

Games are about the same price i believe for both console (both too expensive ).

Well, it's for my sons, they have a PS2 at the moment, but my eldest wants either PS3 or XBox 360 for christmas. I suppose the games are going to be alot more expensive than PS2 ones.. :undecided

I'm very tempted by this XBox offer though.

I am getting one for my 12 yr old son. I personally think the Argos and Game offers for £199.99 - £210 are better as they come with new release games. The games with the entertainment pack on this offer are not very good at all and depending on the age of your sons they probably will only play with them once
