    Afternoon each,
    Isn't it cold?
We dont have the heating on yet and I was skipping earlier in shorts and t shirt, I had to open the door mid skip for the electric man who didnt bat an eyelid at my get-up :o.
I have a big fat turkey leg in the slow cooker for tea tonight and it smells lovely every time I go into the kitchen. I think the SC probably warms the kitchen up a bit .
I made a foil covered cardboard panel to put behind DS radiator as his room gets quite cold and when I pushed it down behind it, loads of screwed up sweet papers fell out of the bottom, it was revolting but at least it was non sticky :D.
I ventured into the garden with the compost bucket and recycling, its needed doing for about 3 days but it is hard to motivate myself when it is such grey weather.
The dishwasher and washing machine are loaded and will be set to run overnight on E7. Luckily we have a kitchen ceiling airer incase it rains.
OH and I were in toys r us on Sunday, it is years since we visited it and it is just the same, small children being shown all the toys and then having them snatched away. I think adults forget that toddlers dont realise what shopping is all about, they go so many places where things are given to them to keep or play with that they cant quite understand a place where all the things are handed to them but they cant keep them.
We came away with a nice big draughts game for one of our nephews. So much seems to be character based and a toy that has no character pictures seems priced around £10 less for sometimes the exact same thing inside the pretty box.We were determined not to get drawn into the Ben 10 Merchandise.
    Hope all are well
    Bye for now

    Afternoon everyone :hello:

    Brilliant news Ruby. :beer::j:D:T:beer::j:T:D
Hope OH's finger is on the mend Mioliere. x
    Happy Birthday Ivyleaf!!:bdaycake:
Hope things get better soon Molly. xxxx

Had a long lie this morning and missed most of the sunshine so now it is tipping it down and I'm confined to barracks.
Have cleared out the girls' wardrobe and drawers this morning and put away the ironing (from Thursday:o) Cleaned out the fridge and cleaned the cooker. The house is staying tidy as the girls are away so I have much less to do.
Went for a lovely walk yesterday with OH and we picked lots of blackberries and mushrooms. Also found a really lovely old tile topped wooden coffee table washed up on the beach  so that's sitting in my garden with plants on it and it looks great. :j Definitely my best beach find yet.

OH has taken a few days off but is catching up on some paperwork atm. I have just cleared out the fruit bowl and will make apple and blackberry cake with the wrinkled apples and yesterday's blackberries.
Also have a couple of cards to make and then OH wants to "whup my !!! at monopoly"

Will light the fire early tonight and have tea in front of a film. Just making pork steaks with sage and thyme and garlic mash (with my own garlic). Will do a brocolli cheese to go with it.

Enjoy the rest of your days....

    Haribo x

    Afternoon all.

    Happy Birthday Ivyleaf.

Pen-Pin how are your poor ribs?

Molly sorry you've had such a rotten weekend. I do remember I had a 2 year fight to get my medical retirement, even though the on-site MoD doctor had said I should be granted it. I hope you don't have such a long battle.

NPM I hope young Noah is doing a bit better today.

My apologies, I can't remember who it was said their DH has to have a colonoscopy, but my best wishes for it, anyway.

It's been a really weird weekend; had a stonking migraine Saturday (complete with vomiting) so Mr LW ended up going to the fruit'n'veg market on his own.

I seemed to be OK-ish yesterday (thankfully, as we had tickets to see Damh the Bard in the evening), and even made bread rolls, apple pie and a nut loaf to slice and freeze; also the sack of spuds Mr LW got contains some humungous ones, so we had lovely jacket spuds for dins yesterday, and I was able to eat every bit of mine!:o

Then this morning, I woke up unable to breathe, unable to speak without pain, and basically have an absolutely filthy cold. We're supposed to attend a CAMRA branch meeting tonight, but I can't honestly see us going. Annoying, because it's in a pub I can easily access with the wheelchair.

I'm supposed to make mushroom risotto for tonight's dins - I hope I can cope with doing it! Oh well, Mr LW also got some lemons on Saturday, so I think I might squeeze one and have hot lemon and honey (having zested the lemon first, to use elsewhere, of course!:D)

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Popped back on to offer hugs to Molly, you sound like you could do with them at the moment.

Also, wow at Celyn's cake, it looks amazing.

Lunch was lush, 2 main courses and 2 drinks at local pub for £10. Never been there before and it was really nice, so will definitely go again.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Shopping this morning, to find the stuff they stippled the walls with out here as some parts had come lose and needed to do a repair. After walking down the wrong long street in 27 deg, eventually found it on the next street along 100 yards from where we set off from. Brunch type tea tonight, with think pork steaks as it is cheaper than bacon out here. Another lazy day really.

    Take care - DG
