    Morning all:hello:
Have thankfully got through the weekend, it was dad's 1st anniversary yesterday, so it's been a tough one:( Thankfully I distracted myself by taking my DGD to my friend's son's 1st bday party:DHe was 3 months prem , so at 6.5 months Layla is bigger than him, and was trying all aft to beat him up:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway have had some good news in that Mum is getting a new kitchen, and her not so old one is coming here, hence I need to eat up all the carp in my cupboards, so am on a kind of store cupboard challenge thingy now:rolleyes:
Just put DGD down for a nap as I've had her overnight again, she is such a sweetie:A
Anyway ((HUGGLES)) to all in need esp CRANKY, and Happy Bday IVYLEAF :bdaycake:

    Good Morning Everyone!
Nordictat2 - we had three nights in Dublin last week and I really enjoyed it! Would like to go again sometime.
Not too much OS here today - DH is due for a colonoscopy later on and I have to drive him there and back. The hospital is about 27 miles from here so I'll be staying around with a book or something, too far to think about coming home in between. He's a bit nervous about it all. Need to walk the dogs first tho' - and it looks a bit chilly out there!
My DS and BIL are coming for the w/e so I need to get on with housework and cooking this week so as to be able to enjoy their company.
Hope all the folks feeling not so well have a reasonable day. Take care.

    Hi everyone,

Just popped on to wish Ivyleaf happy birthday.

The wekend was an OS free zone because I went to a spa with DD and had a pampering weekend. I'm glad we did it because she has been so stressed recently and she really managed to relax.

    Happy Birthday Ivyleaf.

Got some of the baking done yesterday, made brownies with DS which were absolutely delish. DD went out playing with her mates, and by the time she came back in I really couldn't be bothered to bake with her as well, so I think we're doing that tonight. Did also make some oat, coconut and raisen biscuits which were also very tasty.

Tried to have a lie in this morning, but kids came in when they got up, and I could hear them bustling around downstairs so I got up. Will just have to catch up on sleep next week in half term!

When I did come downstairs I was greeted with cat sick and poo under the stairs, think foster cat had an upset tum last night! She managed to sick on DD boots, and I couldn't get the sick off very easily, so I'm afraid to say they have gone in the bin. They were only cheap ones and did have lots of holes in, but she won't be happy. Serves her right for not putting them away properly, if they'd been on her shoe shelf they wouldn't have sick on them!

Anyway, off out for lunch with a friend which will be nice.

    Have a great day.

Happy birthday Ivyleaf! And a belated happy birthday for Master Smoky and Miss N9eav! xx

Jayne - just googled, what lovely cats, one of my kittens has the same sort of body shape, so hopefully she will grow up to look lovely rather than sort of gawky like she is at the mo! I'm glad that everyone is looking after you xx

Beemuzed - hope it all goes well for your dh xx

Candy - wow I can't believe it's been a year already, it has gone so quickly, lots of hugs hun, though it sounds like dgd is giving you plenty! xx

Redruby - fingers crossed for the estate agent phoning with good news xx

Well I've hoovered, tidied the sitting room and kitchen, cleaned my bathroom and thrown stuff for veg and bean stew in SC - decided sausage and chips wouldn't be warming enough! Going to have a coffee and catch up now xx

Morning all :) I'm shattered before I even start the week :)

    Happy birthday ivyleaf

last night OH asked if I could have a look at his CV - which would have been fine, had it just needed tweaking - but it needed a little more work than that - and it has to be in today  He always leaves things to the last minute - but it did mean that I was up until all hours working on it whilst trying to finish the birthday cake. So I was late in this morning (well, 8.30 ish).

Cake worked okay - I've made these before, I just added more chocolate swirls to the shells this time to make it a bit more intresting and cover the surface dappling I was getting as it had to be cooled faster than normal as I was in a hurry and needed them at a level I could handle and assemble. Normally I would make the shells the night before - but I was asleep most of saturday.

I also realised I never posted the sushi pic - so here it is :) I have no idea what to do with it :) :rotfl:

    CIMG2249.jpg

Lunch is vegetable and chickpea rosti with kale (leftovers from last night), tea will be something with tofu for me and something with pasta for OH.

right - must go, have a good day all, cel x
