Happy Birthday Ivyleaf, have a lovely day.
Hope all the poorlies start to feel better soon.

Grey and dull here, but a bit warmer than it was.We lit the woodburner last night.Yesterday we visited DH aunt and uncle-both in their mid 80s.They said their son is chopping trees down at the mo,and we can have the wood if we want. We'd have to store it as it needs seasoning, but its free so prob will.We shall probably need to buy a log load this winter, not many left now. We'll leave it a while to get over the shock of paying for 10 bags of smokeless fuel a couple of weeks ago-£185 .Auntie gaveus a HM redcurrant pie, which we had after our tea, lovely.

Tea tonight is diced turkey in some guise.Well I'm off to change the beds now, hope everyone has a good day.x

    Morning all :hello:

Am back after my week galavanting! Hubby and I had a fabulous 1st anniversary staying in the hotel we got married in - they'd even reserved us the same suite as we'd had on our wedding night! Hubby loved the watch I bought him and the engraving I had done and he's bought me an eternity ring, but thanks to Royal Mail, it's got stuck at the hallmarkers

Had a very busy week - we finally exchanged contracts on our flat on Friday so it's been all systems go on getting storage sorted. One company wanted £160 every 4 weeks  but one over the road offering exactly the same terms only wants £67.50 and they give you the second 4 weeks free - a no brainer methinks! We're moving in with my Mum and Dad for a few months (how OS of us!) to save up a larger deposit. In truth we have made a decent profit from the sale of this flat, but we want somewhere significantly bigger so saving up and waiting until the "right" property comes along is definitely a much better idea!

Anyway, I've got to get some bubble wrap for my ornaments today so am off to see the boys in Office Services to see if they've got any kicking around. May also be cheeky and see if they've got some packing tape too!

Hugs to all who need them, hope all is well with you all xx

    Hi Guys,
I hope everyone is doing ok. Hugs to those who need one - NPM hope your young man is getting better?

Im sorry not to have posted for a few days. My midwife friend gave me refuge on Saturday lunchtime as I wobbled out of my front door vowing never to return. I had a truly horrible week last week what with my employment/ retirement situation and my DS1 again. It all came to a head on Saturday morning after a very bad night and I decided I could not live in the same house . I rather thought that I would go to the seaside only to realise that there was no way I would get there so she gave me a bed and we talked lots. Im still no further forward but it was a break. Meanwhile my kids dad looked after them. he did cleaning, ironing, cooking, walked dogs and relaid some flagstones that keep tripping me up. So he did all my OS for me - love him.

Having said that this house is a tip this morning:eek: Where does all the mess come from. Ive got to organise washing, kids bedrooms and sort guinea piggies. They squeaking every time I go near them because they have not had their usual dose of Curly Kale cos we run out. No cleaner today:mad:. Got to sort that and write a very difficult letter for work. Also waiting to hear if DS1 still has his job - does not look promising:mad:

Oh well - I know it could be worse.
    Love Mollyx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Morning all, think it still morning ,I've the head ache from hell as didn't wear glasses all day yesterday now suffering.
Need to go opticians as well but cant afford it this month.

My ds whom i take to work each and every morning at 8.30 decides that he didn't feel well so let me get up and sit in car for 20 minutes without engine on as I'm(*)tight without a thought to letting me know:mad::eek::mad::mad::mad::mad:

The only thing I'm looking forward to today is on telly tonight is a new programme called Murderland with the great Robbie Coltrane.
And Flashforward ,oh which to watch and what to sky + and Mars Attack on about 7.45 ohhh.

Money Saving today is to put washing out even if it only hangs there damp all day.
Dig some thing easy and fattening out of the freezer as i cant be bothered to cook.
Do an angel delight to use up milk not used from weekend (bear in mind that its 4 packets of the stuff)
Move the old compost bin into a new one out of old pallets going to get ds2 here to help.
The rest of day is general house work ,cleaning and sorting thats with a family.
Best wishes for those is need ,and hope you have a good day Hardup Hester with wo*k today.

Candygirl ((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) the first anniversary is the worst.

    Molly ((((HUGS)))))

I've been really busy doing fundraising for our local branch of the MS Society. We are trying to make money to carry on paying for our welfare officers. They do a fantastic job, and we need them.

DD had her twelve week scan last week. Everything is fine. It's got a really cute button nose! She will find out the sex on 14th December when she has the next scan.

DS is loving Universty. Thank Goodness!:T

My darling Dad nominated me for an award locally. It was for "Carer of the Year". I was embrassed by what he'd said:rotfl: Anyway, I was runner up, and got a lovely certificate and my picture in the paper!

Saw John Barrowman in "La Cage Aux Folles" two weeks ago. He was fantastic!:T Go see it if you can.

Had to go to the Council Tax Office again today. They just can't get it right:mad:

Anyway, going to look in the freezer for dinner now.

    Have a good day all.
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T

    Hi peeps

nice and sunny here but a bit nippy, looks lovely with the sun streaming through the windows. The houndies are walked and are snoring away happilly, little black cat is sat next to me trying willing the younger houndie to wake up for a game of chase.

Ivyleaf - Happy Birthday, have a lovely day :bdaycake:

Redruby - Great news about the house :j

NPM - Hope that Noah is feeling better today.

I`ve just been sorting out some boxes which have been filled from my kitchen cupboards, all the units are down from the walls now, the bottom units are still in place until they absolutely have to come out. The lowered ceiling came out yesterday before i left for work so the next job is to take down the framework for that before we can get to the original ceiling. Unfortunately that is going to have to come down too as it is badly damaged in some places but the good news is that we shouldn`t need any electrical work doing as all seems to be ok, the house had been rewired by the previous owners and we were a little dubious about what we would find as some of the other things that we found were botched but fingers crossed for everything else. Still a busy few weeks ahead, DH and i are trying to do all the prep work ourselves before getting the professionals in for the new ceiling and plastering - hopefully very MSE ;) anyway if i`m missing for a while its because i`m in the kitchen but hoping to find the time to get on.

What i really need is some time off from work but i`ve hardly any holidays left now this year so i shall try and make the most of what i have IYKWIM.

Right off for a shower now before work, MSD - Hope that you are feeling better.

    Have a good afternoon folks.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
