  • JML have a product called 'Magic Erazer' - it's brilliant. Just dampen it with water and wipe the suite down. My cream suite is 5 years old and it now looks like new. Also good for getting crayon marks off walls. Good Luck
  • Just to second what Lynne says, bought the erazer after reading her comment as nothing seemed to clean cream suite well. Works fantastic with so little effort. Really pleased with results.

    Hi all,
I have a tan leather sofa that needs a good clean and a feed. The leather is starting to dry out and crack.
I have never used anything on it in 10 years except clean up the odd spill.
I have noticed that if you use a damp cloth the tan colour comes off.
What can I use to clean it that wont do any damage.
    Thank you
    Mary

Saddle soap, sparingly with a damp cloth, then a leather conditioner sold for saddles - you can get both at a tack shop, or online - they last for ages.

    Hi maro,

There's an existing thread with lots of advice on cleaning leather furniture that should help so I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.

I used to clean my cream leather sofa with a mix of washing powder and hot water and a sponge. It worked fine, never fed it as advised. Prior to that, we had OHs parents "30 year old leather sofa" and I wish I hadnt given it away and bought new! Cleaned it the same way.

My leather sofa has some small marks on the arms.
One set of marks looks like droplets of some liquid and has been there some time.
Today my grandson left his glass of orange juice on the arm as he watched television and there is now a ring mark from the glass.
Can anyone help please by suggesting some way i can restore the surface?
At close glance it looks like the leather surface treatment has been stripped or degraded in some way by those liquids.
    Hope someone can help.

    Is your sofa coloured?
I always clean mine with saddle soap but if you can't get any, wash with hand soap and then condition it with baby oil
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
