Thanks for the tree toots and the PM, :D xx And pigpen and soappie

rosepink1984 I'm only just back on my feet these last few days. I don't think it was the piggy flu (although I didn't go to docs so could have been) - all I know is it knocked me for 6 for about three weeks . Not a lot takes me down but this was pretty nasty. No temp or cough but was very out of breath and tired and had a bad sore throat and cold so not sure what it was . There's so many things going around that it could be anything .

Shame about the casserole ... I've done that before so you're not alone :o. At least you found it now and not in a week's time   :D.

Feeling much more energetic the last few days and even managed some digging on our allotment yesterday so know I'm feeling better :D. Strange though, never lost my appetite :p :rotfl:.

Re: subscribing, I had to do it 'manually' - it didn't automatically subscribe me when I posted so will have to look in my settings I think.

Right off for my beauty sleep (NOT !) :rotfl: :rotfl: :D Looking forward to flying with you all again xx

  • I'm in again this week. Thanks pigpen,Toots and Soappie.

Had a busy weekend: decided to tackle DH's office over the garage. We managed to rearrange his working area to be more efficient in layout, then cleaned all the keyboards, screens and electrical equipment etc. Yeuuuurgh. Never seen anything so filthy.... We filled the Dyson in one session.

There's still the other end of the room to clear, which is stacked to the ceiling with [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] treasured possessions from various of DH's relatives who have passed on. Sigh . No chance of cleaning yet down that end, but it is really quite smart where he actually works, so feeling pleased.

DH and DD sprang a lovely surprise on me on Saturday night... DH had volunteered to do the shopping on Thursday night on the way home from work, which vaguely surprised me. Turns out he wanted to get ingredients for a meal on Saturday night (he doesn't really cook....), which the two of them did together to say thank you for all the work I've been doing on the house!!!! :j:j:j

    - Chicken stir-fry with green Thai sauce, noodles and loads of baby veggies from the garden
    - Home made lemon ice-cream (in his favourite icecream-maker) made with Greek yoghurt and posh lemon curd from M&S.

    Ooooooh scrummy! :j

I just sat there on the sofa in my *****sparkling***** sitting room while they cooked the meal... very successfully as it turned out :D.

And it was such a treat....
I've told them they can do this *every* Saturday now!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Back to Monday and reality. Bedroom, eh? Will try to do this tomorrow, though I need to give the kitchen a bit of TLC following Saturday night.....:o:D:rotfl:

Love to everyone, and hugs to Mudders and FedUp.

But if anyone can point me to somewhere with traditional advent calendars (ie nativity scene & no chocolate) for less than £1.50 each I'd be very grateful!

You could try local churches, to see if they know of any - or somewhere like a Christian bookshop.

:xmastree: Hello flyers, Please count me in.

I'm going on holiday for half term and desperately need to get on top of the housework. Packing for my family is a military operation so I must be organised in all domestic areas. My boys are under pain of death if they wear anything other than school uniform and pj's for the next 5 days.

Please keep me on the straight and narrow. I must not be distracted by ebay, soap operas, gossip at the school gate.

It's going to be a busy week......

Interesting week coming up - seeing my cousin on Thursday...haven't seen him for over 13 years so I'd better get the house straight! Mad thing is that only he lives 10 minutes drive from me...

I'm still not 100% well and have just booked to go to Dr on Wednesday after work as my sinuses are still very painful and I am having almost constant headaches. Nothing up to what lots of you put up with I know, sorry for moaning!

I sympathise hun. I had a sinus infection last year and I can honestly say it hurt more thn giving birth to the twins. It felt like my teeth had been wired up to the mains and my head was in a vice. I eventually gave in a went for antibiotics for the first time in 15 years (last time I had antibiotics I was given amoxycillin and my face blew up like a balloon!)

BTW the antibiotics for the sinus infection turned my snot illumnious orange:eek: TMI.

Moam: the really gorgeous ones are by Richard Sellmer (German firm), although most are a bit expensive. They have mini calendars at £1.95 (look under Religious designs, Mini size), but there will be postage on top.

    Link is here: http://www.sellmer-verlag.de/shop3/index.html
