MissHiggerty wrote: »DH and DD sprang a lovely surprise on me on Saturday night... DH had volunteered to do the shopping on Thursday night on the way home from work, which vaguely surprised me.
Turns out he wanted to get ingredients for a meal on Saturday night (he doesn't really cook....), which the two of them did together to say thank you for all the work I've been doing on the house!!!! :j:j:j
- Chicken stir-fry with green Thai sauce, noodles and loads of baby veggies from the garden
- Home made lemon ice-cream (in his favourite icecream-maker) made with Greek yoghurt and posh lemon curd from M&S.
Ooooooh scrummy! :j
How lovely! Please could you ask your DH to have a word with mine - mine is too scared to cook because he thingks I will tell him off for making something not low enough in fat etc as I am always tryingto lose weight. And to befair he is probably right, Mind you before Mohters Day this year I ripped out an easy Mothers Day menu recipe sheet from the Asda magazine and told him that was what I wanted for dinner on Mothers Day. He didnt bother. The page is in the drawer and I will try again next year .......Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

Morning All
I had to change DS's bed at 4 this morning as he had an upset tummy - he hasn't been sick and he says he feels alright now so haven't made a decision whether he's going to school or not yet. I'm going to strip my bed in a min and I need to clean my carpet at some point as there is poo on that too sorry if that's TMI.
Anyway, I'll be making a start on today's list regardless. Just about to do some ironing then I'll make a decision about school and work then.
Hope everyone has a good day
Hugs to all

Got a full day at work and dreading it! We've got a temp manager at the moment and she's really mean, makes most of us cry at some point or another! Its a good job we're a strong team and pulled together instead of isolating ourselves. She's contracted til March but our lovely permanent Manager returns in January so hopefully harmony will be restored! Its scary to see how much damage one person can do! Anyway, chin up Lala - could be much worse. Oh dear, sorry to moan!
Hugs to everyone in need! :A:A:A

Hi,
Can I join in please? I've said that I'm going to do this before, got welcomed in & then didnt do it:o
I will do it though- I have to, half term is next week & I want to get sorted- My place is always reaonably tidy- lounge, Kitchen, Bathroom & DS room(well sort of) Our bedroom is a MESS!! Ironing piles on the floor, wardrobe full of god knows what- still xmas pressies frm last year in there- opened, just not used)
There is always something I have to do which I dont- well i keep asking OH to do them but he's worse then me- replace bulbs in lounge(5-its a dimmer light) bathroom, kichen & hallway.. been put off for months now(thats aweful i know) empty hallway cupboards as they are ram packed..
Just stuff like that, I want it done before Xmasas we had an aweful time last year(did our best for ds though-he had fun) and we only moved here in March last year- I want it to feel like home as it doesnt right now..
I dont know if this is like anyone else- my last place was immaculate- really clean- I enjoyed doing it:D
Now I want the clean sparkling house with organised everything, but i dont know where to start- I dont even know how I got this way?? I've tried online flylady but its much to slow for my liking.
May be a mix of having 2nd baby (he was really ill) and PND? I'm much better now:p
Anyway, sorry for babbling & please can I join?
Lou x x
Here is my Christmas tree:xmastree: Hope that right?0 -
