  • Soappie that jelly is soooo clear, it looks fantastic. What's happened with BG bashing?????

Pen-Pen you know we all love you, and think you do a fantasic job, I hope no-one has been foul to you again

LilySue how terribly sad :( that must have been a huge shock. (((hugs))) for you love. I think honouring your friend's example is a wonderful tribute. :)

Hiya Swinstie  it's never been 12 weeks since you were here last has it??? Sorry to hear you've been down in the dumps love. Hope things are picking up for you now.

Lady-L (((hugs))) love, hope you're feeling a bit better now.

:hello: Toots :hello: Hope your treatment is quick and successful, and they get that wretched tube sorted out for you too. :)

Soup's in the SC, and bolognaise is cooking. I've changed my mind about fish pit, as I don't have some of the ingredients, and DD3 can't have cheese which is what makes Jamie O's recipe IMHO :D So, I'm going to make fish curry instead using MR O's recipe.

Right, back to make curry sauce, and houmous next ...........

  • Hi all - I've had a quick skim through the thread. Don't worry guys, I'm not trying to do everything! The flats looking quite tidy anyway and I've done up to level 1 on all days. All I'm doing for the rest of the day is relaxing and doing the ironing for next week - not much to do after being ill and slobbing around in pjs for 2 days!

    Hope you're all OK!

Dusty - not tried Crocus sorry. Butternut squash - I like it peeled, cut into chunks and roasted with some olive oil. Also mixes well with other roasted cubed baked veg with some cubes of feta, a big favourite with DH and I in this house. Sliced into rounds and baked with some lime juice is nice too. I bulk buy it when it is on offer, keeps for ages as long as you don't peel it.

We did B n Q this morning, and then got the cloakroom tiles laid permanently. DHs back is really bad but fingers crossed we get the floor goruted and the toilet re-fitted later.

and DS2 has helpfully gone to use the upstairs loo wearing muddy wellies .

Doogie walked in the sunshine and I bought far too much fruit and veg in Aldi, its so cheap in comparison, but was far too heavy to carry home.

Dusty you're going great guns wish I had your get up and go
    welcome back Swinstie
sorry Greenbee :rotfl: I hadny seen the celtic site before but there's some very nice boots on there. I just liked those ones as they are a bit different
LilySue - hugs for your loss

Going to add todays shopping to Quicken then sort laundry.

OMG just checked, now I know why things have been so much tighter this year. With all the probs with DH work and less overtime we are 10k down on the same period last year:eek:
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
  • Hi everyone and thank you for the welcomes! :hello:

Well after DS had me up til 3.30am, DH got up with ds to watch motorbike race, so I slept til 11am! Not a good start to the day! I've had a slobby time!

When I've finished posting this I'm going to tidy up mess ds and dh made playing this morning, then put a wash on, waiting for ds to wake so that I can shower(will clean bath after as dh has neglected to wash round after his soak in the bath, and cos he only uses soap it needs a good scrub(he's normally so fussy about this, but he has been unwell)) and then get ds and dh(much to his disgust as he hates gardening!) out in the garden with me to plants some shrubs I bought 2 weeks ago! Then cut back shrubs etc in the front patch, general sweep of path etc, before it gets dark early(yuk, yuk, yuk!).

Anyway, I apologise now for asking loads of questions and asking what some abbreviations are in the coming week.

Right one last peek on DFW forum, and I'm going get out of this seat! :rotfl:

I've suffered from lazyitis this week - I've tried to tell myself that it was a lack of energy, but the truth is that it was just laziness....

As a result I've had to catch up today.....It's not to the standards of full on flylady success, but it's better than it used to be!!

My washing machine has been on overtime today, all beds stripped because they didn't get done in the week.......:o

I've got a couple of dvds lined up for this afternoon to do the ironing too, and then I should be nicely placed to fly properly again next week.

Whilst hoovering the lounge today, though, I noticed just how dusty my venetian blinds are, so that is one extra job for me to do this week.......no excuses!

I've not read through the thread this week, so I hope everyone is doing ok, and that those that have been feeling rough for whatever reason are feeling a little brighter.
