hi i was just wondering if anyone knows the contact details for bradford and bingley as my dad has recieved one of these letters this morning and im tryin to help him claim his money and this georgeson company are saying they have automatically already sold his b&b shares years ago x
If they ask for a fee to search your claim, then it's probably a scam.
Bradford and Bingley went bust and was Given away by the Gov't to Santander Bank to protect savings accounts.
Several ex-Shareholders have been trying ever since to get some compensation, without much success.
Like your Dad, I also lost my shares in B&B and I'm resolved to the fact that the money is lost forever.Share prices can go up or down. B&B went down into the depths without a trace.

From the Guardian
B&B floated on December 4 2000, when eligible customers each received 250 shares worth approximately £620 at the time. Unclaimed shares were sold after three years, with the proceeds held for future claimants. Around 30,000 people have yet to claim these assets, with each claim now worth £835.13. To make a claim, call 0870 703 0003.
Ironically, the fact that your father did not claim the shares at flotation will mean he is now better off then if he had claimed them and held onto them (as they are now worthless)
If the telephone number above doesn't work, contact Computershare Investor Services at:

I wouldn't mention to them that you have also been contacted by Georgeson..

My Dad recieved a letter on the 12th of August. He's suffered a brain injury since buying the original shares.. can anyone recommend a course of action that allows him to keep 100% of his money?0

I'm going to have to search for documentation then, as he doesn't seem to know anything about it and had already written the whole thing off as a scam.
Thanks for your time.0 -
Most likely one of these, though they could have more clients by now:
Standard Life
Bradford and Bingley
Scottish Power0
