Oven gloves for breadmaker

I appreciate that we're all different and I don't mean to be rude but the concept of matching oven gloves is one that has clearly passed me by
But then we do have a kitchen that was beautifully spec'd by the previous owners in around 1990 and the additional cupboards we are going to create will involve doors that came out of our neighbours skip!Piglet

It is probably only MrsE, myself and one lurker out of millions of MSE'rs who care to be honest0 -

Most of my things are YEARS old, but people often think everything is brand new.
I also will spend time finding certain things as I do not like fussy things and often it then takes time.
That does not mean I have not got important things to worry about, nor that I have servants, it just means that I am very proud of my home and like it to be clean, neat and decorated nicely, even if it is rented.
People are different. My friend will spend hours buying vintage things and has a house that feels like the cath kidston shop. I HATE her decor, but can understand that she spends hours trawling for vintage/50's bits and pieces as these are the things she likes and that is what makes her feel at home after a long day at work with disabled children.
I know exactly what you mean, my friends have their living room brown/cream with 2 leather brown settees and brown curtains and laminate floor. It's just like sitting in a shop, it's awful.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I like plain, but not that plain :eek:0 -
I can understand why you would want certain colours, I redecorated my kitchen this spring and its now mainly yellow and blue, and if like me you hang your oven mitts over the oven door, well bright red would look out of place even in my humble abode.
I like chintz, but have controlled myself and only gone to town in the bedroom.:oWoofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw
apologises for spelling mistakes - google toolbar and I have had a hissy fit and I've lost me spell checker.0 -

I'm the same, like everything neutral & fairly plain.
I do like good quality materials, like crystal candelabras to be crystal glass & not plastic look-a-like-ee.
My whole home is cream with each room having a little extra shot of strong colour to accessorise.
The kitchen is black, the living room & hall are turquoise & chocolate, my bedroom is raspberry, gold & chocolate, my DDs room is pink, bathroom is all white except beech flooring & worktop (its a fitted bathroom) & a 3 Mosaic border of shades of taupes & mushroom & cream & brown rough natural tones in otherwise large white tiles laid in a brick effect.
But its just little bits of colour in otherwise cream & white rooms.
Having one main colour means the whole scheme flows from room to room & there is no jarring of colours/styles between rooms.
I like to buy good quality things ONCE & look after them.0 -

I could much easier relax in that than a room with a patterned carpet or dark walls or busy patterns.
I know some people can take that look a little spartan, but would rather spartan than cluttered.0 -

LOL, I couldn't begin to describe our home. It's a mishmash of furniture from previous lives, with curtains from all sorts of places, wall paper that's seen better days and carpet that wouldn't be my first, second or third choice. Plus everything is covered in a light to medium covering of dust from the "Grampa annexe" we're building. Oh and a nice mix of double glazing and old windows cos we can't afford to upgrade all of them and build for Dad.
D'ya know what though? I wouldn't change it for the world and I'm yet to believe that co-ordinated furnishings make anyone happier :happylove
Each to their own though...:happylovePiglet
