MrsE, you're funny, I am just the same lol
Le Cruset one would drive me mad, in 'real life' the bit you grab with is worryingly pale cream, so it would get washed each time then end up stained and the black bit going faded.
I am liking the Stellar one
If you are not sure if you want two gloves or the ones that are joined, it may be worth popping into John Lewis. They have a padded plain black oven glove with a silver integral hanging ring for £4 and the double ones for £6, so you could try both to see which you prefer at that price. Then as they are cheap, you can buy a few and chuck them in the washing machine each time, instead of having dirty ones in the cupboard or finding they are in the laundry basket when needed.
I have the most amazing glove though bought by an aunt, it is made by built ny ltd and called 'renzo oven mitt' they do spotty ones etc, but also a plain black one, they are a fantastic design. I do not think they can be found in the UK, but I am sure a US site or ebay will ship to you if you love them too?0 -

I can understand that in fairness, some people have VERY expensive kitchens that they have often spent ages paying for and designing, often at high spec. To then chuck a tea towel with pictures of dogs/cats/herbs on or a oven glove with a horrific 1970's fruit design on the counter, is probably worse than worrying about finding a plain black glove to some
Different strokes etc0 -

Yes, of all the major problems in the world today, finding exactly the right colour oven gloves to go with one's kitchen decor/breadmaker/servant must be right up there :rolleyes:I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0 -

I personally do not have a good kitchen, it is rented and nothing special. I do however buy everything in white or black and only Breville. I do not have a great deal of money nor have I spent much, simply everytime something is replaced I ensure it is plain, minimalistic and matches, instead of having a mish-mash of things. Most of my things are YEARS old, but people often think everything is brand new.
I also will spend time finding certain things as I do not like fussy things and often it then takes time.
That does not mean I have not got important things to worry about, nor that I have servants, it just means that I am very proud of my home and like it to be clean, neat and decorated nicely, even if it is rented.
People are different. My friend will spend hours buying vintage things and has a house that feels like the cath kidston shop. I HATE her decor, but can understand that she spends hours trawling for vintage/50's bits and pieces as these are the things she likes and that is what makes her feel at home after a long day at work with disabled children.0
