The other issue is that there a lot more brits working/living abroad than non-Brits working here

I would love to see them being asked to move back to UK :rotfl:

But the point you are missing is that the vast majority are working and contributing - not scrounging.

That's why you have these signs in English at the Dalaman airport that non-licenced cars are not allowed to drive to the departures/arrival car park....;)

I'm not even going to mention the cash-in hand traders in Spain.....

I'm sorry to disappoint you but the percentage of honest/tax paying Brits abroad is probably the same as percentage of honest/working non-Brits here.

If they emigrate to any EU country they get exactly the same rights/benefits as citizens of such a country, so yes, they do ;)

what gets me is the effect of lots of immigration on the social cohesion of Britain. I don't think that the recent popularity in the BNP is a coincidence.

I can also see you have no idea.

That's just rubbish! The majority of Brits living abroad are retired and living on pensions, paying their taxes where appropriate. There are dishonest people in any country but to say that they're a majority is ridiculous.

It would be interesting to know if the Benefits in Eastern Europe are enough to live on .If they ARE then they are clearly equel to the benefits here.I would suspect they are not and are geared to "encouraging" people to find work(sadly here it has been the opposite and encourage people NOT to work) .
(Before the Leftie, yoghurt knitters start, yes I do know many people are unemployed through no fault of their own)
