Bleugh. Was very proud of myself yesterday after my appointment with the nurse where she checked my weight.

    Vanished this morning though :(

I woke up at half 5 and couldn't get back to sleep so instead of languishing in bed I got up and went to do the shop whilst it was nice and quiet (I loved it, didn't see a living soul till I got near the supermarket about quarter past 6). When I was paying, the wife of one of my late dad's old friends got on the next till and had a quick chat before she started serving people as her till was empty. She asked how my mum was & how she was doing with her diet so I told her she'd lost 2 and half stone and she was all "wow, won't recognise her! Tell her well done!"

I carried on packing and she then turned round again - whilst serving her customer with another behind me - and said "So why haven't you been setting a good example if she's doing so well?" and not quietly :( Very embarassed, managed to stutter out that I'd lost 4 1/2 stone and was - and scuttled off with my shopping.

So many things I wish I'd said to her now smiley-rolleyes010.gifsmiley-rolleyes006.gif

  • Don't let it get you down. People will always have a bad word to say but you know in yourself how well youve done. When i got signed off work with my back i could barely walk it was so painful and so many people said i was putting on the pounds. It just wasn't very helpful when I couldn't do exercise. I'm determined to get my own back now, lose the weight and get back to work.

Please remember to add oats to Your food

Not oats, oats are no good on Dukan, it should be oat bran- it is different, oats are NOT recommended... ;)

You can get oat bran in Tesco on health food shelf

    ********************

3rd week on Dukan here, starting weight 78kg, now 72kg so 6 kg lost.

Do not feel hungry at all, my steamer gets used a lot :)

Subscribing to this thread now... LOL

    Good luck everyone :)

  • Well my week 2 weigh in is tomorrow morning so will update you on how much I have lost then.
I am finding this pretty easy as I can easily eat the same thing day in day out...
You can have sugar free jelly, did you know that? Also if you get the Tesco value reduced fat cocoa powder or the Asda Cocoa (brown box) you can have one teaspoon a day as a nice cup of hot chocolate.
Also I got some Da Vince Sugar Free Syrups (got the vanilla one and the caramel one although they do about 40 flavours) they are calorie and fat free and sugar free so if you buy the plain no fat yogurt from Asda or Aldi (only 55p from there!) you can make your own flavoured yoghurts and its loads cheaper than buying ready flavoured ones.
    xx
I have realised I will never play the Dane! :(

Gosh how rude!! I wouldn't have been impressed but then again when someone is so rude it shocks you and you can't think. I always realise later what would have been the perfect comeback :(

Well done on 4 and 1/2 though that's amazing!!

After all my gloating in the last post I runined it this weekend. Pub meal out after work Friday with a glass of wine, Saturday another pub meal out with a shandy, followed by dinner at a friends and several glasses of wine then a chipc/cheese/kebab meat combination on the way home from the night out. Lucky this morning I was so hungover I could only manage one meal. Which was a burger king. !!!!.

    Still it's a new day tomorrow :A
