I thought that halls was meant to be a cheap option. Obviously not.
Chucking it down here, joiner hasn't arrived yet, hope he doesn't bail cos of the rain. (He usually has all his saws and bits set up in the garden but I've said before he can bring them in.)
OH's just phoned from work to see if I want to go out to the local pub restaurant for dinner later on. In theory I want to BUT....I literally have nothing suitable to wear, I can't even access my wardrobe at the minute, I have paint in my hair which is just not shifting no matter how many times I wash it, I have roots, I need to spend today filling nail holes and touching up walls so I probably wont be bothered later on. We're also spending soooo much money on this house that our finances are seriously worrying and we really can't afford to enjoy ourselves right now. £40 or £50 to pay for 1 dinner/drink for 4 of us or £40 or £50 to pay for an oak door frame etc. Just can't justify it.Fed up being the sensible one though. Wonder if I started throwing caution to the wind and started going out and pleasing myself, would OH develop a sensible head instead? Probably not, he was in debt up to his eyes when I met him, financial stuff just isn't his thing at all. :rotfl:Oh well.

Btw been meaning to ask you lot for ages...do any of you smoke (and if you do will you admit it? :rotfl:)
I smoked for 10 years but stopped when I was 24 (yes I was a chav kid too).
Actually I really need to stop joking about that, I'm really not chavvy in the least.I drink my cider from a posh glass. :rotfl:
Anyway just wondered if anyone who smokes deliberately doesn't want to stop in case they put (more?) weight on. Conversation I had with OH about diet and people smoking made me curious about all of you.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I dont smoke, never have thankfully, none of our 'gang' in school smoked so no peer pressure, although myself and another gang member
did give it a whirl a few times (it was cool back then) and lord knows, i needed something to improve my image.

Cheeky git. (Maz pls go find me a slap smilie to make life easier...I have a feeling I will need it quite a lot.) :rotfl:
I was actually a very quiet, scared, timid kid. I smoked to try to blend in, I didn't have enough courage then to say no. Then of course I got hooked. I only developed into a mouthy mare with age.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Yay! Joiner is here...will have a bedroom door tonight. Might get a bottle of wine to celebrate. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0

I'm on day 13 of my low carb 'experience' and I've lost my appetite. I've forced down a peperami just now. I don't fancy anything but on the good side I don't appear to be craving carbs. Is this normal?! It's earilly quiet on the dedicated support thread so I've popped over here!0

Perfectly normal. Just make sure you do keep eating though, don't be tempted to use this time as a reason to eat less and lose more. It really doesn't work like that.Herman - MP for all!0

Stick with it, it appears that your body is stabilising with the low carb. No Cravings is good!!!0
