Thanks for the reassurance. I know I've got to eat so I've got myself some tasty treats for dinner. I can either have cauliflower cheese or prawn cakes, neither of which I normally can turn down so I'm hoping I'll eat soon! I'm also going to try some chilli con carne with spinach (previous recommendation) so I've got plenty of yummy things to choose from!

I'm on day 13 of my low carb 'experience' and I've lost my appetite. I've forced down a peperami just now. I don't fancy anything but on the good side I don't appear to be craving carbs. Is this normal?! It's earilly quiet on the dedicated support thread so I've popped over here!

perfectly normal, its your insulin levels stabilising

i have been on a reduced carb diet for 35 weeks and probably been hungry 3 times

just make sure you eat the correct amount each day
  • Hiya peeps :hello:

Went back to bed but I haven't been back to sleep, unless you count the nano-second I closed my eyes before DD1 came into the bedroom to see if I was asleep

Got too much going through my nut to switch off - hubby going into hosp tomorrow in readiness for his appendix op on Monday morning _pale_ Other family issues on-going as well - happy days!!

And to top it all I'm 'congested'!! :rotfl: It always happens to me at this time in my cycle (sorry about the girl talk eric) I've just had some chilli for my dins & added some mushy peas to boost the fibre but I'm just parping like a trooper now!! :o

Oh well, hope everyone else is doing ok, doors hung, empty nests being sorted for visitors etc!!

Ps. I only smoked on the very odd social occasion when I was out with a heavy smoker friend (probably more passive smoking than actual smoking!!) - wish I'd never done it though. It's not big & it's not clever!! :rotfl:

Was gonna say tis better than having a red light but I'm seeing little action these days so red lights might be good. ;):rotfl:

Couldn't sleep last night. Why on earth were you still around at that time? :D

Well joiner is done for the time being. Still stuff to do but he's been here longer than expected and has to do other jobs now so it'll be a fortnight before he's back. I want to spend today doing things I need to do here so I can get my airing cupboard back in action for a start but I also need to take youngest into town to pick up more school stuff and get a present for her pal. Not sure what to do yet, if I go, it's another day wasted and another day she's in with us but if I don't go, there might not be another opportunity to pick a present. I need cloned for a day. :D

I had chicken chow mein for dinner last night and it must have been full of salt and other nasties as I had a thirst I could not quench. Glass of (fizzy) water, 2 glasses of coke :o , 2 Capri Suns and a pint glass of diluting juice and I was still thirsty. Made for an interesting night when I finally did go to bed...I was up every hour for the loo. :rotfl:
