The only exception I make is for tops - as to be honest, the last place I lose weight is off my chest so it will be quite a while before I can squeeze these bad boys into anything significantly smaller !:rotfl:
The last top I bought in my 'usual' size, was gaping between the buttonsI too was 'blessed' with boobage aplenty.
Rather than take it back and get a bigger one, I sewed the material together inbetween each button so it couldn't gape (is that a word? :rotfl:) now if you paid it. It means I have to pull it over my head when I put it on or take it off, but I can cope with that more than I could a bigger size label. :rotfl:
In my defence, it was bought from a cheap shop and we all know cheap clothes are smaller made. Don't we.Herman - MP for all!0 -
Hiya, need to lose weight to fit into a dress by the 22nd June.....or else lol so am starting slimfast tomorrow!! Have done it before , milkshakes taste like crap but i'm lazy and have no time to stop at work so it's the easy option!
That's what, a smidgeon over 5 weeks? Is the dress just tight or far too small?Herman - MP for all!0 -

Well done bubby. No more chubby!
It's helped me discover weird things over the years, like my period weight gain is actually the week after my period has finished. No idea why that should be but it's consistent.
That is so me ! I think I always am a week behind in my weigh-ins but now I have (sort of) accepted it, I can just about manage not to throw a huge tantrum when I have a gain and I know I've been good.I was going to take over the world but got distracted by something sparkly.......0 -
Oh no just realised it's Friday :eek:Friday for me in my house is takeaway night:eek: this is going to be a real test of my willpower turning a takeaway down:(0

It's a lovely sunny day here (at last!) so have just been out for a walk. I seem to be getting very tired very easily whilst walking now though so I'm thinking that's because I'm eating junk again.
Happy Friday to you all![/QUOTE]
I am very tired at the moment as well, just want to go home and have a nap on the settee, maybe we are emotionally drained??0 -

You can limit the damage, try and have kebab meat with salad, no bread, burger with no bun and salad, a meat/chicken dish from the chinese with a side of veg, meat/chicken dish with side of veg from the indian (not very lc but you could try onion bahjis;)) no rice or bread, pizza will be a problem, maybe chicken wings with salad? chippy has got me, unless they would cook you a non battered fish that you could have with salad or maybe peas or maybe a non battered sausage, none of these are perfect, far from it, last friday I had doner meat with salad and put on 1/4 of a pound so not too bad, or bite the bullet dont have a take away and make yourself something you like and feel smug all night;)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
Well I am doing FANTASTIC I cannot believe I have made it to day 3:TI would quite like it if I could get hypnotised into believing I hated all food except salad. Few months of that and I'd be sorted.
Say you really want to stop eating chocolate (and you have to really be ok with never eating it again unless you reverse the process!) your therapist can note how, when you picture chocolate in your mind, it makes you feel. Then they would ask you to think of an 'awful food' you hate. They would record the way you felt about that food. Then, they would ask you to imagine chocolate, eating it etc... and then one by one, they would ask you to apply all the 'awful food' attributes to the chocolate picture in your mind.
If you are ok with not eating choc again, then your mind will, from that point on, provide you with all the awful attributes of that other food you disliked when you consier eating choc.
This was something that I learnt how to do during my training. When I saw the demonstration during class, the woman who decided she wanted to resist cakes (and she was in love with them - I'd seen her eat many through out the week's course!) actually almost hurled when presented with a cake after the exercise. If you would like to achieve this kind of result, it can be done!
Hope you find a great therapist if you are going to persue this route.Oh no just realised it's Friday :eek:Friday for me in my house is takeaway night:eek: this is going to be a real test of my willpower turning a takeaway down:(
Hope you all have a brilliant weekend and stay on the waggon! This is a fab thread, thanks for making it what it is all! :beer:0 -

That's really interesting and just shows what a strange beast the mind actually is.
At this precise moment, I cannot for the life of me think of what I dont like to eat.I know there are things, but can I come up with anything? Nope.

Well done to those who are being good. Bubby I love your enthusiasm, keep it up (and send some to me :rotfl:).
Sending positive vibes your way;)
I've got family 'stuff' going on again at the moment so I just don't have the focus for proper eating iyswim. Hopefully after the weekend things should be more settled here and I can maybe start the week fresh.
Don't stress yourself anymore this weekend with the "diet" but give yourself a well done for not doing as much damage as you could iyswim?
Btw....did you all know that fuit is just tarty veg? :rotfl:(Love it Sarah :T:D)
Hiya and welcome to the new peeps, hope you feel at home here soon, and I'm glad to see others will be sticking around. I like this thread too.I wouldn't like weighing in either...I'd just lie. :rotfl:
I would lie too:o

Yes it will be the junk but well done for going for a walk, thats a step in the right direction (remember my baby steps motto;))
I've decided I'm definitely going to get some sort of help whether it's counselling or hypnotherapy. I'd go to the Doc for help if I had any other addiction so I don't see why I can't treat my overeating the same way. Because of the kind of family we have, it's generally quite stressful here so if I don't find other ways to deal with things, I'm gonna be like a wee oompa loompa soon. Just not orange.

I tried Hypnotherapy but I didn't get on with it, however counselling I can definately recommend (in fact I think I will go myself so thanks for the idea;)). You will be suprised how much your eating is not really about food at all:)0
