sweetserendipity wrote: »sister, can you tell us more about how you're getting on with the harcombe diet please?? Think I've read about it before when it's been mentioned?? Do you have the book??
Right, lunch is calling to me
day 2 of the harcombe diet
breakfast: bacon fried eggs toms
lunch: feta salad with ham
tea: stir fried veg and chicken and natural yoghurt
sweet ive ordered the book but it hasnt arrived, but if you join her website ( its free to join ) you can download a 10 day beach body diet during july based on her diet
apparently the record weight loss for her 5 day diet is 17lbs!!! think that may have been someone who was very very overweight though ( a bit like me)

sweetserendipity wrote: »alias, hope you have a fantastically dirty weekend with your OH, you definitely need some time away together & I hope it brings you closer together & happier in yourself :kisses3:
Cheers sweet. Unfortunately I dont actually like him right now so the odds are against it. :rotfl:
I wish to God I could just meet a man for once, you know, a real man who is able to communicate and accept well meant criticism. Can't say anything negative about OH to his face cos he just shuts down like a kid who's been told off and then gets angry that anyone even dared to comment on his behaviour.
Just for once, I'd like him to turn round and say, 'oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realise I was doing that, I didn't mean to'. Then that would be it over, but not him, he just stares at you when you try to talk about things then goes off in a mood.
And before anyone asks, yes I do talk, I'm sickeningly reasonable. I sometimes think that's one of my problems, maybe I should yell and throw a plate or two. I don't know any other female who would put up with his sh*t tbh. Not long term anyway.
Sorry, all...done it again. :rotfl:Herman - MP for all!0 -
Evening peeps
the weather here`s bloomin awful, i`ve had to force myself out down the garden and into the greenhouse to water the toms. DH has walked the woofaloes so all three of them are soggy now. Used two towels on them as they were so wet.
Tea was lovely and i really enjoyed it, i did do the lamb with some onions in the remoska, potatoes for DH and mashed cauli for me. We also had a few peas from the garden. I made up a mugful of bisto with 3 tsps of mix and had a small splash on mine, gave the rest to DH. There should just be enough left for tomorrow but will have to do some more spuds.
Daisy - I have a very old SW book so i shall be using that. I peeked at the extra easy way on the SW board but i just felt a bit confused. I`m afraid that if i tried to do that then i would just end up eating normally and i think that i need to stay away from that IYKWIM. If i stick to the good old red and green days then i should be ok. How long have you been doing it?
Alias - DH has a certain "face" that he pulls when he`s like that, i can see it coming a mile off :rotfl:

Evening folks
I just seem to bounce from one plan to another looking for a miracle cure for fat-itis.. or, combining them all and eating carbs and fat.. not one of my best ideas!
Daisy, i love having the fruit on SW, it's something i really missed on lc.
I also bought the Harcombe book but cant remember why i didnt get on with it.
I really think if i could just cut out the crap i would be ok with real meals, but when i have a real meal (jkt spud tuna and salad for example) i feel like i've cheated cos of my lc mentality and go and have choc then, i must change my mindset and stop eating crap!!
I didnt get to open my dvd after all, tomorrow i plan to open it, and actually do a bit of it, a friend on FB has dropped three dress sizes purely from exercise.0 -
Morning peeps
another rainy day here, seems a bit brighter though atm.
Brekkie today is scramblies and mushrooms, dinner is chicken thighs and cheese and salami. I`m using up the last of the lc bits and bobs ATM.
Tea later will be the shepherds pie made with cauli and probably cabbage.
Not sure at all what we will be eating tomorrow so i need to do a bit of forward planning today or we will starve
I`be brought my old SW book into work with me so that i can have a quick peek at break time for some ideas.
Have a good day everyone!

Morning :hello:
Feeling bleurgh & so tired this morning, don't know if it's because I've been eating carp or because I've stopped taking my supplements. Actually had a low-carb dinner last night but then went to the pub & had half a lager, ended up feeling 'acidy', iykwim, so had some bread when I came home to neutralise it, it didn't work!!
Sunny, I'm thinking of trying SW, that's one diet I've never tried before!! Daisy seems to be loving it & doing really well. Will you still post your menus so we can see what stuff you're allowed, please??
sister, I'm going to google harcombe, that's some weight loss in 5 days!! Like you said, that peep must have been very big to start with though.
mazzers, I was going to ask how you were getting on with your new WOE, you've answered my question!! :rotfl: I'm just the same as you, lurching from one 'diet' to another & never really getting anywhereWish I had the answer.
alias, put your differences to one side & make the most of this weekend. Are you feeling motm tetchy & therefore cba with OH's 'looks'?? I know the feeling *sigh*
I think I'll go back to bed for an hour :wave:0 -

No, ironically. I really think the acupucture has helped that. I've not felt the same anger and irritation as I usually do.Herman - MP for all!0 -
