Oh bloody hell! OH has just booked us into a posh place for the weekend, (daughter is going off on holiday with her auntie, ucle and cousin) so we have some free time. It's a country club lodge type affair with private hot tub and sauna. How much weight can I lose before Friday?!
There's a swimming pool and gym and allsorts and it will be full of fit honeys and buff men, it's that kind of place.
He decided we needed a bit of luxury for us for a change as everything is always all about the kids or the house, which is fine (and is nice of him to have made the effort for a change tbh)....except I'm fat.Why couldn't I have stuck to my diet?! I'm struggling to be pleased as I'm so embarrassed and unhappy about being fat. How am I going to sit in a hot tub with him and a glass of wine when all I can think about is my rolls of flab.
How 'bubbly' are hot tubs?
WHy oh why can't I just bloody diet!!!!
alona....sorry you've not had a great weekend. Hope things settle soon.
sarah..jammy git, lend us a fiver? (Need to put it towards the hot tub :rotfl:)Herman - MP for all!0 -
OOOH Alias - sounds lovely and just what you need!:j:j
Sounds like OH has realised that you need some tlc after all, instead of a glass of wine have a bottle - then you won`t care
Seriously, just enjoy it. You won`t see anyone there ever again and if you keep telling yourself that then you will enjoy it even if your confidence is a bit low.
I`m slowly coming to terms with the fact that i won`t be anywhere near what size i want to be before my hols. Was looking for the tape measure earlier but can`t find it. I wrote down some measurements when i last lced and would like to see if i`ve shrunk a bit or if my jeans have grown
Home now, cuppa by my side and a nap is needed.
Mazzers - My energy isn`t there all the time believe me! On this shift i get about 4 hours sleep at night and an hour to an hour and a half in the afternoon and keep this up for 7 days and then i can catch up. My poor bod never knows where it is which is why i`m probably in the state that i`m in now. I`d love to work the same hours each day and get into a routine.
DH was supposed to have got some minced lamb out of the freezer before he went to work, guess what - its still in there. Dunno whats for tea nowI have some belly pork thats thawed and i may just have to share it with him but my plan for that was to chop it up and cook it then use it for snacks.
I think that starting Friday i`ll maybe do the sw kinda thing. Just need to find all my bits and bobs out from when i last did it.
Still chucking it down here, got home a bit early so i`ll have half an hour looking around and then zonk out for a bit.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -

Yeah, I have surgery at the back of my mind. But before I would allow myself to even consider that, I need to prove to myself that I can maintain a proper weight. No point if I just pig it all back on again in a couple of years. So you did it huh? How long did it take to recover? And may I ask a ball park figure?
thats how it should be - having a tummy tuck isnt a wieght loss solution but it does get rid of excess skin from pregnancy or weight loss
and why im keen to get back to my fighting weight - after spending that much money on it i dont wish to ruin it
ive actually had it done twice - went for the MSE route first and went abroad but it wasnt a very good job and took me a long while to recover - approx 6-8 weeks and that was 3k
then 2 years later after constant moaning my hub agreed to let me have it redone as it really was a poor effort so paid 6k to a uk surgeon to do the job properly and its great
no stretch marks smooth flat belly even with the 20 lbs ive gained over last year - i also had lipo to my hips and lower back area included
the uk surgeon i chose uses quite an innovative method which reduces the recovery time drastically so felt fine after 2-3 weeks and was back at work in 5 weeks
that was 2 1/2 yrs ago and my scar is pretty faded now
if you want to see any pics i do have some but obviously they are quite graphic so i would trust they would just be for your personal use
any q's just ask:j MFi3 wannabee :j

Daisy,
How did you find the liposuction op? This is something I keep thinking of. Any idea of what this costs?0 -
traditional lipo is pretty sore and creates lots of bruising and swelling - results can take a good while to see the true picture due to alot of swelling
probably looking at around 1k for one area to begin with then gets cheaper the more areas you have done:j MFi3 wannabee :j

Wow, took five weeks to get back to work and that's quick? Hmmm. Not something I can really do under the radar then, is it?! I thnk I'll have to put it on the back burner for now and trust in suck-u-in knickers. But if I do decide to go for it I'll remember the picture offer! Thanks.
I think I've eaten too much rhubarb. It's 'free' on my diet. My bowel is not pleased.0 -
Alias, what' the place? I want to ogle! Love nothing better than a good spa weekend. Well done to your OH and you know what? You bloody deserve it. Forget the flab. Who cares? You need some time with your OH and now you've got it - he sees you every day so he won't care about it adn stuff everyone else. Put the biubbles on in the jaccuzi, sip your champers and enjoy. Why not have a look in the sales adn see if you can get a flattering swimsuit - a sucking in one, or with a little skirt? Or a burkini? lolololol
Seriously though. Where is it? Enjoy!0
