I found they kept going in after each other anyways, and avoiding the other tray, or using both but they wouldn't use the clean one if the other one was dirty, they'd use the dirty one? It's very large anyways.
yup its the same here!"I am an insomniac, so I was really excited when I was able to get a full night's sleep. I said to a friend, 'Just keep your fingers crossed that I get lucky again tonight!' Realizing what I said, I tried to correct it and said, 'No, I mean, I just hope that I get some tonight!' After that, I decided to shut up."0 -
Well actually sometimes they did pee in one and poo in the hooded tray, but not often. It's just less smelly for me if smells aren't wafting from two boxes, I'm so mean! But they don't go pee'ing or poo'ing anywhere else, and I scoop the box about 3 times a day or when I hear them scratting around.
My nana has 7  cats, and her flat is smaller than mine, she doesn't let them outside unless supervised either as she is terrified they'll run away onto a road or something. She has 7 litter boxes, but you'd never tell by smell or anything, she loves her cats more than anything, even when she's skint they still get their weekly fish!
1 of her cats won't go in a tray that has poo or wee in it, even if it's her own. Will pee on the bedspread to show her displeasure!
Did catch my kitten wee'ing in my daughters pyjama drawer but that was my fault because I didn't do the litterbox before bed (I was drunk) and had a hangover so didn't get to the box on time. Was pretty foul, eck!

Hills ordinary appears less rubbish than the prescription stuff!
Optimal care lamb (admitedly I bought it this time around as I noted Pets @ home was selling two for the price of one but only after I read the ingredients) listing chicken & turkey meal & min 10% lamb.
Of course Burns is the best & cheapest but my moggies find it a little like cardboard food so I always buy something else to mix it with - usually JWB (esp when on special offer).
Burns chicken:
brown rice min 46%
poultry meat meal min 34%
maize, poultry fat, chicken liver, seaweed, minerals & vitamins0 -
Pets at Home Purely contains more meat (40%) and is cheaper than James Wellbeloved (26%). Noah liked the chicken Burns but not the fish one, which was a shame as their ethics are impressive. He scoffed a Purina One sample I gave him, so clearly has no discrimination!!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

The own brand silver pack or the Purely? The silver pack has additives, it's equivalent in quality to many of the big name brands such are Purina Pro Plan and Hills. The Purely is additive free, so more like Burns or JWB.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
ok - thanks for this - I can't remember the pack - in truth I bulk buy food online (cheaper mostly even taking into consideration delivery charges) but get the litter from Pets @ home (& Liddles/Aldies!) & so v ocassionally I check out/buy special offers of food. I like to give them something different (they always have it mixed with Burns cos I really think it's the best) every now & again but usually only because it's exceptionally cheap otherwise I read the ingredients of `new' ranges & then buy online!0

Does anyone else feed feline fayre?
after reading this thread yesterday I went to morrisons and saw they sold it and it had a good meat content. so i got a pack of 3 small cans and fed gizzy one about 6pm.
then all night she was really hyperactive!!
up running around my room at 1am and again at 5am!!
do you think this was down to the food or just a coincidence?0 -

I am feeding Feline Fayre and Noah is normally very lazy!! Noah was pretty nutty yesterday but that was after a raw chicken wing: maybe having the correct amount of protein in their diet gives them more energy?Did you buy the tuna flavour? I think some cats are sensitive to tuna.

If Feline Fayre makes your cat hyperactive I best get some for my fat lazy cat that doesn't move unless prodded. Couldn't give it to the kitten, he already LITERALLY climbs my walls, I just decorated the bathroom not long ago too, really looks great with big scratches down the wallpaper.0
