Are you sure it would have been the same if the manageress had not known you ? Just a thoretical question...
Well the girl who served us yesterday was the one who asked if we wanted a refund, but then the manageress mentioned the discount, so even if she wasn't there/didn't know me, I still would have got the refund.Littlemadam83 wrote: »YAY to Ernest Jones - booooo to naughty diamonds!!!!!!!

Thanks chick, was well chuffed! Felt sick just walking in there incase they said they couldn't anything, but all is well now and I'm happy!!
We went to Beaverbrooks too and Steve chose his ring. He's left £100 deposit on it and we have till May to pay for that, so we're both happy!!

I found them really good - managed to knock one of the diamonds out of my engagement ring (not shoddy workmanship - we were moving house and I got my hand jammed between the garden fence and a cooker we were carrying - so hardly "reasonable wear") and squash the ring down to an oval shape successfully... had taken their insurance out as the design of my engagement ring band is very fine and I'm not nice to rings anyway (see what I ended up doing to it to realize that one) - OH took it in, sent off, back within a week, good as new with zero fuss or anything.
Also some of the nicest staff I came across considering jewellery shops scare me if they're the posh places! Not 100% sure I can get the wedding ring from them since I need quite a difficult to find shaped ring - but if I can I'd buy it from them happily as they've been so good for us to deal with. - hopefully ring-shopping soon as my car MOT's been paid for!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
