  • Interesting point about the size of the hole/size of the post. Made me think of babies and their route into the world. Don't worry, skin is famous for it's elasticity.

Does this mean you will be coming home with a neat tattoo on your bum as well, pink of course :rotfl:
Oh no! You won't catch me with a tattoo. Not even a pink one! I've been watching Prison Break!

Perhaps it's reasonable to suggest to those who feel the answer to their problems is piercing or tattoos is they should deal with their underlying problems and pay more attention to those areas of their life that need positive improvement.
Gee thanks Ted! I'd already worked out I'd better find a new dentist before I make a definite decision on this ... or I'll have Toothsmith on my case!

Anyway, you'll be pleased to hear I don't think having my ears pierced will solve any problems, and will indeed create a few in the wardrobe coordination dept - at least when I don't wear pink!

OT, but do you know my sis was told that pink and gold don't go together? Which is why she had difficulty getting my necklace for me, because I prefer gold to silver? Can you credit it, the idea that there's ANY colour (apart from Lime Green) that doesn't go with pink?

I haven't yet taken the plunge. Did have a discussion with DH about tattoos as we walked along behind a lady sporting a quite fetching one, and he assured me he wouldn't find his name etched onto any part of my anatomy at all endearing. He didn't respond with enthusiasm when I said I'd been wondering about having my ears done. And I have GOT to find a new dentist first ... :rotfl: Oh, and my hearing aid went on the blink tonight so I might need to get that sorted as well: have to get my priorities straight ... all these things take time and energy and if I put time into researching earrings when I haven't got time for minor matters like my teeth and my ears, well, I'm just making excuses really, aren't I?

I was led astray while we were looking for my birthday present, because I saw a rather nifty dangly pink necklace with matching earrings which I've bought. It might end up as a birthday present for someone if I chicken out. And there are the matching earrings for the necklace my family gave me ...

    It's all very difficult ...

When I had mine done years ago I felt a bit faint after, but I think it was the thought of it rather than the actual piercing. My ears are sensitive to the cheap ones and start to sting after about an hour of having them in, so I have to wear gold. ;)

Aaah you should have it done Savvy Sue ! I had mine done at Debenhams in the hair dressing salon - I was 54. I can't remember exactly how much, but it wasn't dear. I had no problems at all and it didn't hurt - even though I think my ear lobes are a bit thickish !!! There is such a good selection of earrings for pierced ears today - just treat yourself........last week I had my eyelashes dyed for the first time too, no stopping me now !!

I am sure that I shall have to wear gold - with the possible exception of dangly pink ones! :rotfl:

It's always really easy to buy for one of my sisters, because she likes having LOTS of earrings, and she doesn't mind cheap ones. I mean, I always try to get ones which don't LOOK cheap, but she knows me! :rotfl:
