Second hand !!!!!!? Doesn't seem right to me.
It'll be properly wrapped. Non-sticky..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
Just got to say, currently listening to the album by Paloma Faith. Darned fine album.
Did you see her on Jools Holland last night? She was excellent, so was Seasick Steve!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
They've changed the settings on here  I used to be able to click user CP and all the threads I'd posted on instantly came up, now they don't unless I've subscribed to them and it's most annoying.

Thanks Karom and Z, I'll try those things.
I worked out what some of the little things by the clock were, two were McAfee doing a full scan, and one was 1-click doing it's stuff. I decided to leave them running and put up with a slow comp for a while - better than stopping them and having no comp if something nasty was there.
Will McAfee have anti spyware (I assume so), or should I download some from somewhere else?
SRM I love Moussaka!
I'm havint chilli pork chop, roast med veg and little garlic roast taties. I have some variation of this most nights, but I love it so I don't care!

Hi guys, back from our jaunt to Wales and have to say I'm blimming glad to be back in Yorkshire. The return trip wasn't nearly as bad/long as the journey down. We were home in under 7 hours (and that included an hour at wrexham tesco for petrol and a bite to eat) whereas the journey down was a relentless 9 and a half hours:eek:. We came home via Wrexham as I just couldn't face all the roadworks on the M4, M5 and M6.
Hope everyone is ok.

ps - lou, i had an Eeyore type work friend who'd steal the pleasure and joy if I let her and it was a year-long campaign of me being upbeat to her negativity before she was less negative and... almost had a positive outlook. She complained one week of a wracking cough and the following week of aching joints and I just replied [in passing] that it was such GOOD news that the cough had gone:rolleyes:;)DFW Nerd Club #545 Dealing With Our Debtnever attribute anything to malice which can be adequately explained by stupidity, [paranoia or ignorance] - ZTD&[cat]

Karom, done what you suggested, although I didn't delete passwords. I needed it in tiny steps, so your advice was spot on!
Ok, so what are:
CD/DVD drive acoustic silencer
Synaptic Pointing Device
Toshiba zooming utility
And do I need to have them running all the time? Only the zooming thing had a properties thing, and I didn't understand it when it came up.
Off to do the rest of the suggestions...Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
