The banks have to reimburse fraudulent transactions anyway - they're only saving their money by being over-anxious, not yours.

A work colleague did mention to me that he got his card scammed (likely to have been at a cash machine in London) and once duplicated in 1 day, £5K was taken in diverse transactions. It took him several to get the money back from HSBC.

Lou, sounds a nightmare, I think Z gave the right advice.

As for the siblings thing, I think dad favours sister, she thinks mum favours me. In mum's case it's her playing us off against each other. But my family's more dysfunctional than the Simpsons, so I'm not the best person to ask!

Ex was supposed to be coming round to put some furniture together, I'm not feeling too good and fell asleep on the sofa and then went to reluctantly text him about going to pick him up, only to find a text saying he's ill, so that's worked out well.

So my plan for the afternoon is the 10 mins housework per hour of napping or internetting or reading.
