Got to disagree with you here. It is a pain but when they stop a transaction that is truly fraudulent then you are really glad for the service. Happened to me when couldn't pay the restaurant and the waiters looked very suspiciously at me :rotfl:OH picked up the bill while I was using the restaurant telephone to sort out my new card:T
The banks have to reimburse fraudulent transactions anyway - they're only saving their money by being over-anxious, not yours."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
A work colleague did mention to me that he got his card scammed (likely to have been at a cash machine in London) and once duplicated in 1 day, £5K was taken in diverse transactions. It took him several to get the money back from HSBC.
Ok, I wouldn't leave than kind of cash on normal current account personnally but if I can avoid this kind of stress, I wouldMFW on your mark0 -
Afternoon all!
Buffy, sounds like you made the right decision.
Lou, sounds a nightmare, I think Z gave the right advice.
As for the siblings thing, I think dad favours sister, she thinks mum favours me. In mum's case it's her playing us off against each other. But my family's more dysfunctional than the Simpsons, so I'm not the best person to ask!
Ex was supposed to be coming round to put some furniture together, I'm not feeling too good and fell asleep on the sofa and then went to reluctantly text him about going to pick him up, only to find a text saying he's ill, so that's worked out well.
So my plan for the afternoon is the 10 mins housework per hour of napping or internetting or reading.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Hello!
I've been deafened by squawking kids at Wacky Warehouse, (Jess's friend's birthday party) then called into M&S Simply Food for the £6.99 deal :T
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
