  • Morning all..had a lovely lie in till phone woke me at 10.Someone offering me a piano-don't think I need 2 though! Made a few suggestions for who might want one. Kids pestering me to take them to Hawkins Bazaar thats reopened for Xmas....groan! Tonight I have a "Greek night" over at a mates-SHirley Valentine,Moussaka, olives, wine etc and a good giggle. Her husband bought her a week in a spa hotel in Rhodes for her birthday,so that's what prompted it! Theres no way my DH would think of something like that,as that would mean he has to survive single handedly for a week!!!

Bunny..can't think of any suggestion re work colleague-but I agree with you, it's soul destrying to have to listen to it....

Bl00dy bank just rang like eager beavers-all pleased that they put a block on debit card "due to suspected fraud activity-someone tried to use it in an ATM in San Fran!!"Er,yeah, but DH is in San Fran right now..WITHOUT ANY ACCESS TO CASH!!!!!Pain in the butt....
    Debt-free...and staying that way...

Overhype everything he says - but only to him. Try to get down the chain of events from management wanting timesheets written in black pen rather than blue, to global thermonuclear war which extinguishes all life, quicker than he can.

He'll either twig that he's doing that, and shut up - or he'll realise you're taking the rise, and shut up....

Its worth a try Zed, anything to stop the constant whinging.

mmm. Just saw one of those really sad cancer adverts and thought if I was ill what would I like to be doing? = well its going out with my friends obviously!!

Think I should, tbh last night did not feel like a night out AT ALL it was a night with work colleagues and it was !!!!!.

So I am going out, it won't be late and tomorrow I can mark, prep, then tidy.

I shall have a cup of tea and a tidy of the kitchen.

    thanks guys xxxxxxxxx

    Good decision Buffy:beer:

You have a great time .................. you never know who you might meet;)

Can't you get a note put on his account that he does travel internationally?

Must admit, next time my bank stops one of my transactions I will be changing banks.

Got to disagree with you here. It is a pain but when they stop a transaction that is truly fraudulent then you are really glad for the service. Happened to me when couldn't pay the restaurant and the waiters looked very suspiciously at me :rotfl:OH picked up the bill while I was using the restaurant telephone to sort out my new card:T

Afternoon all, catching a little MSE time while washing is running. OH with man flu in bed so all very quiet.
Got very positive feedback on my pressie for my nephew (instead of "just sending" 100 euros as requested by his dad). The football gear I picked up on sales went down a storm. Happy. Got to go back to the shop now for the football shirt I picked up for Christmas present as they left the security tag inside it. Why do they put 2 or 3 security tags on children clothes nowadays!

Ames, Watchmen was very good and very surprising.
Regarding your comment last week on Sky and waiting for ages. I used to have sky movies and know the feeling + seemed always same movies were played over and over. I dropped it for base service and opened a dvd subscription. I love it, it is like a surprise every time as to which one is going to arrive.
