I wonder why?:rotfl:
Thankfully all my female colleagues are lovely apart from 1 who I hardly ever see. Its the blokes who whinge and whine at our place. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Lou with people like that at my place I tend to stay in my room and normally kids are coming and going so no one can really be alone with me to moan.
One woman who really needs support but leaves me practically in tears I only make my self available to once a week. Otherwise I would just lose the plot.
Can I but in with a question? - I have three sets of books, 5 skills activities to complete, I have to put together some SEN work for a meeting plus do fish tanks, house and guinea pigs - all by Monday
I am meant to be out tonight but really can't afford it time wise. I think I should be honest? but it is a birthday and feel really crap about work getting in the way.
AND I am shopping with a mate this afternoon but NEED food so its essential but feel it looks bad to the b 'day friend.........................what do I say?

and Hello all xxxxx have missed you. stupid job I am losing touch with everyone xxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Can you catch up on the jobs tomorrow Buffy? I would probably still go to the Birthday party to be honest, you have to have some play time at the weekend Buffy, work gets so much of your time during the week.
Unfortunatelly in my place we cannot work in classrooms as we dont have our own, the staff room is for the whole academic staff so no escape there either:rolleyes:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
I think you should go out Buffy. You shouldn't work all the time and friends are very important.
My day is now rearranged. I am at last dressed and will trot round to see parents in a bit. Then going to football with friend across the road. Another friend the coming for the evening armed with wine and nibbles.
I have some lovely friends - 'virtual' and 'real'.0 -

Yeah, had to go to a staff charity do last night which was crap I really shouldn't have gone, but I felt really obligated to go. And then I slept in this morning.
I am getting such a state tho. I feel really out of control and exposed at work. I have to leave I know but short term I need to keep up. And I can't fit it all in tomorrow. the activities alone will take some time - all totally new resources.
If it was local drinks I go but they in the middle of London.
I am looking for resources in between posts thank God for Google!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
In that case Lou I would go for the trying to be positive like Bookie says.
One of my friends has ended up pretending she thinks management are wonderful so that people don't feel safe moaning at her! bit extreme but it worked......

Quick question for you all if you dont mind......
Someone at work is literally draining my soul by their negativity and it is really starting to get to me lately, how would you lot deal with a person like that? Its not someone who I can avoid either.
Overhype everything he says - but only to him. Try to get down the chain of events from management wanting timesheets written in black pen rather than blue, to global thermonuclear war which extinguishes all life, quicker than he can.
He'll either twig that he's doing that, and shut up - or he'll realise you're taking the rise, and shut up...."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
Buffy - I think you should go! (if you read my diary I am rubbish at taking my own advice about work stuff
) but I am out with my friends tonight for my birthday and would be really sad not to see them

Think I should, tbh last night did not feel like a night out AT ALL it was a night with work colleagues and it was !!!!!.
So I am going out, it won't be late and tomorrow I can mark, prep, then tidy.
I shall have a cup of tea and a tidy of the kitchen.
