cause of the financial problems the govenment should make companies from inflating prices beyond inflation rates.
people on low incomes/benefits can't afford what companies charge from 1 day to the next, like utility companies adding 70% to gas and electric prices in 18 months when the wholesale prices have gone down
the govenment needs to step in0 -
Billions of text messages are sent every year, a small charge of 1p per text would go a long way to provide money for other services or reducing the national debt.0

The whole point of direct debits is to help with monthly budgeting, so why cant the child support agency get their computers to do this? I have to overpay every month because they say they are incapable of getting their computers to do 12 equal payments across a year for some reason.0

Premium rate helplines are inaccessible to people who do not have access to a landline. The majority of people opt for mobile phone usage, profit should not be made from public needing to contact essential services. A land line should always be given as an option.
You could also add HM Inland Revenue, (incorporating Customs & Excise) to your list as well as all governmental, both central and local, where we are already paying a premium in taxes for them to operate. Its no fun spending 30-60 minutes on the phone to the tax office because they have cocked up your coding, (again!).0 -
Pension commission fees need to be severely capped, apparently some can be as high as 80% of the money paid into them. This should not be possible. Any burden eventually comes back to the state and taxpayer if pensioners are ripped off too.0

In light of the proposed increase in University Tuition fees, Why should the future generations burden all the costs? it is only fair that the past generations who have received free university education contribute by means of a Retrospective University Tax on the terms proposed for repaying student loans back.0

I'm fed up with companies that in an advert (tv or newspaper) tell you the price of their cheapest product but then show you pictures of the top of the range product. They should show you exactly what you get for the cheapest option.0

They trick you into signing up and then you find out that everyone you have paid to be able to message can’t reply because they haven’t got a subscription. Theft of time and money!0

It is in the whole country's economic and health & safety interest to adopt the continental approach to dealing with winter weather by the use of winter tyres, but they are an expensive investment. Insurers could offer a big premium discount and government a partial refund to subsidise the cost.0

Recruitment agents need regulating to stop tricks like advertising jobs that don't exist to harvest CVs. They shouldn't be allowed to advertise jobs unless instructed by the employer. This stops you getting the job you chose, you end up with the job they can get for you.0
