Whatever you do don't keep it in if it is not secure. I did that and ended up swallowing it! It cost a fortune to have a new one made up.
Is there an emergency dental clinic that you can go to?0 -
I got fed up with mine coming out so I started using superglue.
My 'stumps' are rotten though so mine is a very temporary fix until next week when i'm due at the dentist for an emergency denture/repair.
Just be careful you don't stick your fingers to the tooth!0 -

Sorry, Crown off does not constitute an emergency in the NHS. Private dentists may do this but we won't(in my service anyway)0 -
IIRC a dental emergency is classified as 1) uncontrolled/unarrested bleeding 2) Trauma 3) Severe pain aggravating an underlying medical condition .... in which case you are more likely to be after the hospital than the dentist!
NOT emergencies .... pain, lost crowns. Thats was what I was told more or less as official guidance. Popular with the public? Not particularly!0 -

I work in an NHS out of hours emergency clinic, usually on Sundays and we wouldn't have seen you for this problem. I think that was the point. Your own dentist is a different service. Hope you get it all sorted.0 -
I must have a realy nice dentist because when my crown drops off he always fits me in within 24 hours.
Mind you his waiting room is always jam packed.0
