rite feet back n the ground time
if you quit your job and dont have another job and go to sign the dole they will penalise you.
if you quit your job make sure you have another job to go straight into
don't cut off your to spite your face
as people have said in thecurrent climate you be hard pressed to gain another job0 -
I suppose if I look at myself, its not my actual job I hate, more the company I work for and the way they treat you. If I ask myself the question "Would I like to do this job for myself for a living" I would answer yes. So while I could cope with the actual job as I say its the company thats the issue and I don't think its possible to change them.
A few examples being:
You go in in the morning to be met by the boss with a face like a smacked !!!!!, 5 mins later the arms are waving, he stands shaking his head while he chews the face of someone, that is every morning, he is a ignorant arrogant pr*tt
Then there is total lack of any form of organisation which is what puts him in a bad mood, his own poor managment and organisation skills, he promises customers things which are totally impossible to achieve.
Then there is the constant nit picking and fault finding, fault is found with everything even when there is no fault, if its not done his way which is usually the awkward way its not right and no good.
Then we have the constant being told how to do something, I've been there 3/4 years doing the same job, yet daily you get told how to do it.
Butt kissing, this is one that really angers me, the amount of butt kissing that goes on, Do these people not see what an ignorant and horrible pratt the boss is? Yet every time they get an eating they kiss up all the more.
Then we have the underhand illegal stuff, which involves bullying, unfair dismissal amongest others, I was recently off with a bout of illness, when I returned rather than getting a bit of sympathy managment was more interested in giving me a warning for being off, Luckily a doctors note put them in there place.
Then we have messing around with pay, pay being late and all the rest, I mean imagine being paid weekly, being off 2 weeks for christmas and only getting your holiday pay when you went back to work in January.
These are just a few, but you should get a bit of a pictureThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

this sounds like grounds for constructive dismissal. i would seek advice about it though.0 -
If the job is affecting your mental health, try to find another job if possible, as if your mental state gets to bad, you can end up without your current job, and unable to hold down any other for as long as recovery takes.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
[/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -

I did suggest the other day on one of the other Boards that if someone is being bullied - as it would appear you are being - that they just quote the post concerned - from that thread only (as its a "troll" idea to quote anything from another thread except in a helpful sorta way). The purpose of quoting their comment from the current thread is so that it cant be amended subsequently by the bully and just put in the nearest "smilies" you can find to the facial expressions/actions one uses ITRW if someone makes an inappropriate remark.
ie ITRW one looks shocked, then embarrassed and then (if they persist) one looks distracted and makes an excuse to walk over to someone else and start talking.
I've figured out how to do this now on MSE..
so I suggest, if it happens again,:
<<quote of inappropriate remark from the thread you are currently "talking" on>> _pale_:o
or something similar - you may have access to a wider range of "smilies" than MSE ones to do the appropriate facial expressions reaction akin to ITRW.
...and try to resist the temptation to reply to them in similar vein......its what they want...
...just one thought on dealing with this..HTH:D0 -
Unless you have been or are in same situation and going through the same problems, you cannot understand how bad you can feel, so please dont have a go even in jest, it really does not help, all you want is some understanding of the situation and not to be judged.
Some of us are more sensitive to atmospheres and people, but that does not make you a lesser person!
Nirelandguy I understand where you were coming from but unfortunatley it was misconstrued as reckless.
Always make sure that you can stand on your own two feet first, think of each day as another day nearer your goal, work hard to reduce your debts so that the job is not a noose round your neck.
This is precisely what I am trying to do at the moment, so at 5pm that's another day nearer to happiness.
Apologies if this offends anyone it was not in any way meant to!
Peace, love and light to all, hope all your dreams come true..... to all of you
....taking one day at a time, its all we can do!
